i doubt they're close enought to be able to swap in and out....but I could be wrong. I think that the rear spring on the FD is A LOT longer, but don't hold me to it.

Do you mean stock-style springs for an FC and FD? By stock-style, I mean ones that would fit on the stock shocks (as opposed to an adjustable coil-over conversion). If this is what you are talking about, I would be very surprised if you could install FD springs on an FC or vice-versa.
Aftermarket coil-overs for all cars typically use standard 2.25" or 2.5" ID racing springs, which come in different rates and lengths but are otherwise interchangable. This is one of the advantages of such a setup -- you have a huge range of options and the cost is generally low ($50-70 a spring). Eibach ERS and Hyperco Hypercoil springs are the main race springs used in the U.S.
