It all just depends.

You can get custom spring rates but it on a dealer to dealer basis on if they charge to swap them out for you or not. Extra spring typically cost so much per spring + the cost to swap them if the dealer so chooses.

You can talk to really any dealer of ksport products as the prices shouldn't vary that much.

the_saint: your kit orignally MSRP's for $1150. Some dealers can run better group buys than others. As stated I have looked into doing a group buy on here but unsure how it will go.

ok,, 1150 is about what i was quoted aswell , besides that, i called up the dealer near me, and they had nothing bad to say about k sports ( obviousely because he wants a sale), but he was honest,, said they dont charge for custom springrates, as long as you order them that way,, and not decide later you want to change them up... just takes a bit longer to get them in. and they are revalved in the factory for that specific springrate..

he said they have had 1 problem with k-sports so far, and that was because someone put them on a heavier model car (k sport warrentied them, and brought them back and sent a new set right away so he didn't have to wait to have them rebuilt... ! which is great.. he said they are pretty good as far as warrenties go,, and havent had any major problems,,

he did admit to me however that d2 and k sport are the same (besides paint and what not) i said there was a rumor that they are nothing but rebadged k-sports,, he said basically...

as far as springrates,, i was told they come with 9k and 7 k,, 9 up front,, he is getting back to me about how low i can have the springrates without warranty issues.. any suggestions about a 2200lb fc? i dont mind stiff but i don't wanna be sliding all over the road because of it.

thanks

Paul

Well, the main ksport branch here in the U.S. does not recommend going below what is stock as the ksports already have a pretty stiff ride with the rates that come on them.

I run the stock spring rates on my FC and it is a nice ride but it did stiffen up the suspension.

ya, they just got back to me, they say that the lowest springrates they warrenty are going to be 2k less than theyre "stock" so i can run anywhere from 9-7k on the front and 7-5k on the rear,,

i would like to run stock, because i dont mind a stiff ride, but i dont want it to comprimise the handling in any way,, i wonder if 7&5 would be low enough for a 2200lb car.

he said they just started dealing k sports for fc about a month ago,, so im going to wait and see if they have any problems,,,but the warenty seems pretty good so i may just go for it,,, i asked him how many units hes sold for fd's and he said not very many,, but its apparently pretty big for the nissan guys,, and they havent had any problems with blowouts,, i have a friend that works there and im going to ask him if thats true.. just to be sure im not being smooth talked..

thanks agian for your help

Yeah , I have pushed a ton of units for the nissan owners, dodge neon owners, some mazdas and even toyotas.

I have moved a ton of units for ksport and to be honest no real complaints about install, ride or anything going wrong with them yet.

The FC's were developed because a company overseas had 20 of the manufactured so now they make them available here in the U.S. and wherever ksport dealers are located.

Depending on how quick your looking for a set I am going to start the group buy here soon so it might save you some money. Just a heads up.

Thanks,
Mike

As stated, swapping for different rates did not cost extra.

Yeah for what I am paying I figured why not try them almost 50% off . oh well.

You get what you pay for, i will let you know how things pan out.
