CYM with black or red brake calipers?

Hey everyone! Think gonna' finally get some down time with the FD this weekend. Plan to do a brake/clutch bleed so might as well paint my stock brake calipers now. I have a CYM and wanted to see what people's opinions are...my CYM with black or red painted caliper w/ silver Mazda logo?

Also, I currently have stock rims for now but will get some black rims w/ silver lip if that helps visualize the look of new painted calipers.

Hey There,

I also have a CMY R1 and considering repainting my calipers. Due to dulling. Originally was tossing around a big brake conversion until I saw the prices. Are you going to use a high-heat spay paint made for calipers or are you re-powdercoating? If using spay-can, which brand will you use? I also was considering a set of black wheels with a polished lip. I'm keeping my calipers red. I like the contrast.

Sup. I'm going to follow Dale Clark's walkthrough (http://www.clubrx.org/default.asp?id...ntent=37&mnu=5). He suggests using Testor's model paint and holds up well with the heat. I'm still debating between red or black calipers on a CYM...I would have to see some pics though I can try photoshopping it too..haha! But as you said, the red would be a real nice contrast to the CYM w/ black elements. In addition to you too, I'm eventually doing black or gunmetal rims w/ silver lip.

Anyone have pics of CYM w/ black or red calipers? Maybe that's question I should've originally asked..haha. Thanks for everyone's input still.

I think you should go with black. A lot of times the red/yellow combo reminds me of McDonald's. You should also consider yellow.

Gunmetal or a dark bronze would look nice. Bronze depending on your rim color.
