Fikse wheel question

Where is the best place buy Fikse wheels? I'm looking for the FM/10's.
I was also wondering about size. I know their is tons listed in this section but I want a good street setup so I want to make sure I will not rub my fenders. I will probably use my stock wheels for the track anyway.

I'm gonna be doing a special promo for the club guys. New Year's sale. There seems to be some sudden interest so I'll be putting together some special pricing for you guys if everyone goes through.

what diameter are you looking to run? 17 or 18. If 17" then I would go with the Sleeper fitment, 17,9 all around. If 18" then go with a 9.0 and 10.0.

What suspension do you have as well?

let me know,

Rishie

Lightbulb Fiske/Kinesis Wheel prices

Found this site that has great prices on Fiske & Kinesis in 17" 9 & 10" fitaments.
The only thing is it is for Porsche. ~ $2300 /set

My question is why are we (fellow RX7 owners) getting the shaft pricewise?

http://www.928gt.com/Wheels-Tires/wheels.htm

Anyone know the offset of Porsche?

Yep. Yep. If you're doing a special, I'm interested as well. PM me for the details, if you'd be so kind.

Looking for the 18" ones myself. 18X10 rear.

It's because Fikse has special pricing for Porsche, not the RX7. Last year we had the same deal until they changed their pricing schedule.

I'm sure you guys will still want to contact me for RX7 special pricing. lol.

Peace, Rishie

Dan, I'm working on your stuff. I'll be in the office tommorrow.

Thats the gayest thing i've ever heard of. Those wheels don't cost 1 penny less to manufacture for porsches. Is Levi's gonna start charging me more for 32 waist jeans cuz 34's are more popular?

That makes me not want to buy their product now, OR when I buy a Porsche.

Well, unless the info on that site is old, and their prices have been "adjusted" like they were for other cars, then they've been ripping people off charging $650-$850 per wheel when they can obviously sell them for in the 500's.

Screw 'em if thats the case, I certainly wouldn't pay more now, and i'll remember it when I have the "right" car as well, and buy from a fairly-priced competitor.

It sounds more like economics. There are more Porsche owners willing to spend the coin for Fikses than there are FD Rx7 owners who would be willing to drop that kind of lute?

I would buy them for $2,300 also but for $4,000 not. I have moved on to Racing Hart and Work Meister for $2,300. I beleive Porsche club guys also get a deal on HRE wheels as well.

It's because Fikse used to stock those centers for the FD and now they don't. It's all based on volume. There's a lot more porsche customers who purchase custom wheels.

Just informing what I've been told. Don't shoot the messenger. lol.

Rishie

We used to do 17" Fikse for around $2400.00 at most for the FD guys last year. Now it's all messed up. That's why we haven't been doing a lot of Fikse. hopefully that will change after I post a special buy for the RX7 guys here in the next couple days.

As a guess, the prices will still be MORE than the $2390 for the Porsche "Sharks"

That volume thing is bullshit (not saying you are bullshitting rishie... more like their sales rep.). The tooling already exists for every size and bolt pattern they make... They are MODULAR WHEELS. Its not like they have to do a different forgings of an entire wheel specifically for our cars. The brochures even tout that every wheel is custom made to order anyway.

the RX7 uses the same bolt pattern as allot of other cars, and (just guessing) the offset in modular wheels is probably a function of the rim halves (inexpensive compared to the center.)

Maybe they'd have sold more RX7 wheels if they had EVER offered them to the public at those prices instead of jerking people off for $700 per wheel.

Flame off. That said i'm as anxious as anyone to see what you can do, Rishie.

Damn, first it was that Gram Lights Pro special, now this Fikse special! Rishie, you've got to stop dangling these carrots in front of me!!

Now that I have that out of the way, is there any chance of a Kinesis special?

Agreed b.s.! I hope the GB is less than $2400 as the Porsche folks have just a sale not a pre-order bulk commitment.
