Cragars or similar on 2nd gen

Hi there,

I'm thinking of doing something a little different with the wheels on my car - I always like the big deep-dish chrome wheels that grace american muscle cars, but I havent been able to find any info about whether it is possible to fit them to an RX-7.

I have seen drag RX-7s with similar wheels but none of them look particularly street-legal.

I have seen 1st gens with 13 and 14 inch chrome modular wheels but I was thinking along the lines of a 16" or 17" Cragar SS (or the one with the 12 holes) type wheel on my 2nd gen.

Anybody put this type of wheel on their 7, and how does it look?

I guess you could find some to bolt up but the offset would be the big issue. In the rear the bearings might not like the load a deep dish rim will put on them. And the front you will have scrub radius issues. Handling gets kind of funky swinging deep rims around.
