COSTCO Bridgstone RS730
COSTCO Bridgstone RE730
Costco has 205/50VR/15 for $107.
the counter guy said he would sell me the tires, but the shop would not mount them since my car came with 60's and the 50"s would lower it? So what?
If I just get the tires they take $7 mounting off...also no rotation, check,...
What's up with that?

The point of your thread is that Costco will not mount your tires due to what they see...as a "safety/liability" issue.
So you're questioning their store policy on the RX-7 forum (suspension area)?
Why don't you speak to Costco management about this?

I guess my question is it this a good deal?
Costco price includes shipping but no service.
Like buying from Tirerack and having the tire mounted by someone else.
Has anyone else had this experiance with Costco?
What are the results of putting on a 50 tire vs the OME size of 60?

Years ago I got RE730's in 205/55/16 from Costco, price included mounting/balancing and it turned out really cheap.. win win situation. =)
I think it was buy 3 get one free at the time too. =)

What's their recommended plus size tire? 55 series?
I wouldn't bother with Costco if you can only get $7 off. Their service is great and it's the first place that I would look for tires. However, it'll cost you more than $7 to get it mounted, balanced. Plus, no tire rotation or hazard insurance...

FYI - They can also get S03's at a fairly good price. You do have to special order. Not as cheap as tirerack.com but when you factor in hastle factor, mounting and balancing at your local shop...very competitive!
