Coilovers?

What type of coilovers should I get if I am going to be daily driving it but also wanting a good suspension for drift/drag? So pretty much just a overall good set. Thanks for your time!

Fitted Tein Super Streets to mine last week, very pleased. Got them on the " softest setting " and they feel fine even on our crap British roads. Took about 3 hours to complete and no major hassle.

if this is going to be "street" car you REALLY don't need coilovers, also i wouldn't recommend spring rates over 10k if you really must have coilovers because on the street, their just too high sprung for day to day driving. eibach springs and tokiko shocks will go a LONG way for street performance, and the ride height is almost spot on. but if u MUST go coilover setup, i would recommend tein flex's for overall use on street/track but i think u should look into a really good spring shock combo as their MUCh cheaper than any coilover setup.....my .2

Well the car sits in the garage a lot....but when I do drive it I drive it hard....So everyone is pretty much saying tiens....Hmm all my buddies are going them too? So I shouldnt go anything over 12k? My buddy drives his 240 with a sr20 in it and his is 12k and its pretty rough...but i really dont mind it, but is it bad for the coilovers if your driving them daily at 12k? Would the Tien Mono Flex be to stiff for daily driving?

here's a Private message i received this morning.

i have continuously suggested that one of the most cost effective ways to TRANSFORM the FD is with just the addition of Eibach Pro Kit springs and proper suspension settings.

Marco apparently agrees. i publish this with his authorization:

Happy rotoring, and many thanks!

Re: Suspension Upgrade to Eibach Pro Kit

Hey Howard,

Please feel free to use whatever you'd like of our conversation regarding this suspension set-up. Might I add that on my work commute, I took a corner yesterday between 5-7 miles per hour faster than usual, without really noticing it. I only noticed by glancing at my speedometer on my way out of the corner, just before I hit the gas. I cannot wait to hit some twisty roads!

Thanks,"

still running stock springs? spend a couple of hundred bucks, an afternoon installing them and a trip to a good alignment shop and you will be smiling all summer.

We have already estabilished many good low cost options to coilovers. No reason to Guinea pig the D2's, down with Ebay.

tokico and tanabe ftw. only problem is wide tire fitment due to the progressive cone winding.
it still rocks!
