cheap performance
I'm looking to buy some cheap but good performance tires.
I'm probobly gonna get new rims in the near future so I don't need something that can last like 50K miles, all I need is like 10-15K
any recommendations?
if you can't think of any than what are the best cheap tires you recommend...when I mean cheap I mean like $200-300 for 4

The Cause of Death
For $300 I got BFG G-Force Sport's from tire rack, shipped to my door.
They were like $65 each.
The size is 225/50/ZR16...not sure about the z, might be v...the rest are correct though.

I did a little research on tirerack created a ranking list based on TireRack test results:
From best to worst:
Kumho Ecsta SPT
Fuzion ZR-i [tied for most expensive]
Yokohama AVS ES100
Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 [next cheapest]
BFG g-Force Sport [tied for most expensive]
Sumitomo HTR Z [cheapest]
Goodyear Eagle RS-A**
** I used this tire as a reference to make sure I was comparing apples to apples

I've got Kumho SPT's right now and they're pretty good. They grip fairly well for a 320 wear rating, have excellent wet traction and they have decsent feel. I've had Falken FK-451's before and they were quite good, but they wore out too quickly and they lost a lot of grip when they got down to the wear bars. The SPT's were better than the ES-100's in the Tire Rack test in wet and dry, they cost a fair bit less and should wear a little longer. You won't win any autocrosses with them, but they are good otherwise.
