Can't find many rear Brake kits for FD

Can't find many rear Brake kits for FD

Why can I only find a couple of rear brake kits for FDs that actually give you a new caliper? Does anyone know of a reason for this and if there isn't one can they direct me to places that sell rear brake kits.

That's because the front brakes do 80-90% of the braking. Adding bigger rear brakes adds more rotational mass similar to bolting on heavier wheels, with minimal contribution to the car's overall. Front brake kits are expensive as is, and they should be more than enough for the street.

The issue also with losing the e-brake. Most aftermarket calipers that you'd replace them with don't offer the feature.

Ahhh. I see. I didn't realize that. Just out of curiosity what do people who replace the rear calipers do about this e-brake problem?

They are typically track only cars which don't need e-brakes.

Atomic rex offer the hi-spec rear kits which include the handbrake mech.
