broke my f*cking lug key 2night

hey every1,
I was planning on taking my stockers off and painting them gunmetal, along the same lines as ZeroBanger.....but my McGARD lug key's pattern broke off while trying to remove the lugs!!! Anybody know how to remove these anti-theft lugs without a key? I cant exactly put the wheels back on either....i got two wheels off before it broke. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Man when my body shop was fixing up my car they had to remove my front passenger side Enkei RP-01, them bastards didn't have my wheel lock so he freakin jacked up my rim, using whatever tools he got, drills, pliers and whatever else he could use. At the end I made them repair it tho.

But regarding your problem, I hear you gotta take it to a wheel shop and get the lock drilled out. Then go get a new set from Mazda, register your set and if you ever lose your key or break it then just tell McGard and they'll send you a new key.

yeah i guess i'll take it up to a wheel shop and have them *CAREFULLY* drill/chisel them off....the owner before me never registered these so i'll make sure to do that with the next set.

First let me say, that sucks.

Second, it's time to go talk to the devil, I mean, snap-on man in your area. Snap-on makes a set of nasty looking impact sockets that are specificly designed to grab-on to and tear off locking lug nuts. Better have this done at a tire shop though, because you might break the wheel stud.

I not sure what they cost, they're snap-on so I'd guess they're not cheap. I'll look for a price.

Here's one of them, just to give you an idea.

Here's the set, kind of pricey, but invaluable if you need it.

Most auto dealers have a master set of keys. I had the same problem, borrowed the master set from my local dealer. None quite matched, but i was able to modify one of them to fit my nuts(on the car)
You can also take a grinder, and make a slot in the nut, like a screw(clearance allowing). Carl

these are not from the factory. They were added later by the previous owner of my car. Therefore the auto dealer is outta the ?. I would grind a slot in it, but im a little too afraid of hitting the stud.
