Big Brakes. 4- Wheel
I've done some searching and it looks like there are a lot of different setups out there with 2-wheel (front) upgrades but what companies do the 4-wheel big brake kits? It'd be awesome to get a 6 piston front and 4 piston rear. Are there any companies out there right now that do that? What companies have a big brake kit for the FD for all four wheels? I heard stoptech was coming out with one but I'm not sure if it's out? Baer? Brembo? Any input or help would be awesome~! BTW, "You don't need a big brake kit unless you plan on using it for serious track use only"... ya, I gotcha. I want a four wheel kit. Thanks again.

N-tech sells a 4-wheel Brembo kit. And yes, you're an idiot to blow $5500 unless you are one serious hard-core track junkie:

BTW, you can get the Mazda 99+ RS/RZ brakes, which are 12.4" rotors at all four wheels, for less than $2000 from Mazda Motorsports.
And with either setup, you won't stop an inch quicker on the street.

Talk to Nick at N-Tech at a minimum! The F/R Brembo setup he sells was originally designed by Brembo Chief Engineer to go on his personal FD. I think I'd have a hard time finding a more glowing recommendation.
That said, rynberg's on the money about the brakes won't decrease your stopping power an inch quicker (on any given single deacceleration or stop from less than extreme speed)

Endless has an R6, R4 kit. The R4 caliper utilizes slightly smaller piston diameters to aleviate the brake bias concern. However this kit from Endless retails for around $7800.00. It's a sweet kit though. Two piece floating disc, two piece forged calipers, SS teflon coated lines, pads, rotors, and fluid to boot.

I've got the "Brembo biggins" version, but not pics to go yet. You can barely see the fronts in the feature of my car (CYMonster) in RX-Tuner magazine.
Oh yea, wheel size/profile is critical. At least 18" with proper offset/profiles for the 355 rotors. Not sure about the smaller kit. Again, Nick is the go-to guy.

Sure seems to me like people should be able to do what they want with THEIR money when it comes to THEIR car without being hassled by someone on an online car forum. I could be wrong and all, but... nope, I'm not.

If you're hardcore, you can try getting Brembo Lambo's spec brake. I am talking about 8 pots front and 4 pots rear. There will not be a kit like that for our FD, but if you got da money, I think Chuck @ rotaryextreme can do the bracket for ya. The parts themselves is very expensive. I don't know it for sure. you will polly need another kind of master cylinder...not 929 one. Someone post about willwood master cylinder just a couple days back. I'd check into that if I were you. You might need that if you go for any 4 wheels kit.

I'm not tactful. If you think you will gain anything at all (except for several pounds of unsprung weight) by getting a large 4-wheel brake kit for street use, you are wrong. If you REALIZE that upgrading brakes for street use is utterly pointless, and you want to spend $5000+ just for LOOKS -- be my guest. At least bigger brakes look better than some of the body kits people ruin their car with....

Sorry you didn't like my opinion, but I DID give you two sources for 4-wheel kits. M2 is pretty much out of business, so they're not an option.
While some people get offended by my presentation, I provide my opinions to sometimes help people understand why they don't need/or do need something. Most people don't understand that big brakes are pointless for street driving and I hate to see people waste their money like that....

13" Stoptech fronts and RZ 12.4" rears. Paint the calipers to match each other and you have an excellent upgraded setup that will definately stop brake fade unless you have a 500hp track monster. Probably the most budgetable setup.
Stoptech is currently testing their setup on an FD. Price is reported to be around $1700-1800 for the fronts. 4 piston setup that they use in professional racing series so they do work well. They should be out in the next month or so (or so some of us hope). There is a thread in the 3rd gen forum for this.
Good luck. My plan is 13" AP fronts with Champ car rotors with 4 piston calipers and '99 12.4" RZ model FD rears. 929 ABS mastercylinder upgrade also.
Different strokes for different folks.... but big brake upgrade can add up fast!

Those are the Mazda rear rotors, but I'll be installing the Precision Brakes 2-piece rotors soon.
