Best tire with 18's
OK who makes the best tire for tire sizes 285/30/18 and 255/35/18. Based on ride quality and life of the tire. I kinda need some responses seeing as how I am getting tires in like a week.

Well of course the Bridestone S-03 is the best tire offered in those sizes. You will also see the Pirreli Pzeros and Mich Pilot sports. None will wear well. Price wise the Bridgestone also has an edge. I dont know how they can sell the best tire on the market for less but they do. I say capitalize and buy the S-03. As far as R compound goes. You can get the Kumho V700 in the 285-30-18 for the rear. Its not the victoracer but its a new model V700 and its dot approved.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
www.tirerack.come is the best source for info like this.
i would personally go with either Pirelli P-Zeros or P-Zero Rossos, or Bridgestone Potenza S-02 PP or S-03 PP.

M0T03,
Your sizes are correct for maintaining overall tire diameter (correct "plus" sizing). I recommend using 9-inch widths for the fronts, and 10-inch widths in back. These will provide maximum sidewall support for your wide tires.
With asymmetric tire widths, you will have a very slight amount of understeer, but nothing you'll notice driving around on public roads. You'll only experience the slight "push"on a road racing circuit driving at 8 to 9/10ths of the FD's handling limit...

The 255s will be slightly taller than the 285s in back, but not by much. Overall tire diameters would be nearly identical if you chose 245/35-18s for the 9 x 18s. Excellent choice in rubber! I'd like to have a set of S-03s myself!

Those are the exact sizes I am going with on the Volks I just bought. S-03's as well. I have S-02's on my Stock wheels and they are the best tire I have used to date. Its only logical to go with S-03's this time on the 18's. I just hope I clear the stock suspension with these fitments.
