Best ABS unit system for 3rd gen FD?

Perfectly reasonable hwnd.
I have just read multiple times the death machine argument and it got tiresome.
My car when completed will likely see about 3k miles a year and 10 or more weekends of aggressive driving (off the street). I don't think removing the abs makes me an irresponsible idiot, but again like you said we're free to have differing opinions.
I personally find the thread about how fast people have gone in their car far more worrying.
To be slightly on topic...fix the abs unit and be done with it.

Again, read this - I'm not suggesting that cars lack-of ABS units are rolling murder weapons. I'm just saying there is no gain to the average driver to remove the ABS units.
Regarding the weekend warrior / racer.. Personally, I don't think two weekends a month makes a race driver. I mean, National Guard sure isn't a US Marine by any stretch.
Though I do think you learn tons of new skills and surely improve driving and fine tune bad habits but surely aren't being sold as Formula driver.

As for the being a pro driver thing, I was just saying I react a lot differently to situations then I did before I started tracking my car extensively. My reaction time and expectancy of an incident before it happens is a lot better. I anticipate what people are going to do etc. Anyway, I'll leave it at that hehe. Was looking through my schedule for last year and these were the track days... Hopefully this year will be as eventful.

Hey guys thanks for the full info. This really helped me out. Reason I asked well right now buying a 93 FD and the previous owner mentioned this is one of the issues it has.
So the ABS control unit from any FD is good enough, about the delete ABS I take it is not for me. While I agree with many that you don't need ABS, it doesn't hurt to not have it and you never know. When I get the car I will try to test if its the sensors or so, if not I will find a replacement.

the average tracked FD is tracked in schools, or other NON COMPETITIVE events. and don't misunderstand, there is everything right with doing schools, and track days, its FUN.
on the flip side the number of people who actually race competitively and keep the ABS is going up. its essentially one less thing for the driver to worry about, which lets them concentrate on other things, like traffic

Ask Bosch about their $8k ABS kit. I found this by hitting on a few threads from porsche owners were they wanted ABS parts and a few ideas were buying the 930 (Turbo 911) parts or the Bosch race kit.
Once I stared digging around for that, I discovered that the BMW M3 ABS unit was a highly desired ABS unit for swaps,etc etc etc... this was all racing related (track racing).
I know there are a lot of guys who do and do not want this for racing applications simply based on the number of threads I've read.
Who cares right? we can't poll the entire world for their thoughts on ABS and race cars. :-)

If you follow the field service manual, there are many tests that can be done with only a volt/ohm meter.
Mine went bad last year and I used a real Mazda ABS tester and it could not find the problem. It would not even finish the test procedure as listed in its manual. (Mazda crap)
Then I used a volt/ohm meter and the FS manual to run all the tests I could, and discovered that a pin in the main ABS connector that carries 12V had burned itself out. The connector had never been pulled apart until the testing. I figure it failed after 14 years due to not having a tight fit and the looseness cause increased resistance and heat.
