My H&R Sports are dark blue. They will lower the car about the same as RB springs. They are stiffer than RB's springs, so converting from RB to H&R resulted in less (read no) tire rubbing on fender liners during hard cornering.

H&R has several lines of springs ("OE Sport", "Sport", and "Race") however, the only model available for FDs are the Sport springs.

I has the H&R;s on my FD with both the Stock wheels and the 18 inch volks. The H&R's rubbed slightly on the fender liner on very hard cornering, The Volks made those springs impossible to use. The ride quality is great but the are soft and lower then I could fit with the 18's. I switched to HKS Super sports. They have the higher rate with the least drop. Dont expect a perfect ride though. I run the springs with Bilstein HD's

With the stock wheels or the Volks?

The Volks made those springs impossible to use.
YMMV. What were the widths and offsets for those wheels? Also, what size tires?

slight rubbing with stock tires and wheels. Impossible to use with 18 inch volks. The front was the problem in all cases.
Volks 18x8.5 in front with 255 35 18 inch S-03's +40 offset, even rolled the fenders but still rubbed pretty good.

That's weird. Like you, I have H&R Sport springs with Bilstein shocks, and I don't rub at all with the stock wheels, and I don't either with 17x8.5 +37 Fikse FM/5s and 245/40-17 up front. Were you hitting the liners or catching the fenders? Maybe you should have went with a narrower width tire? There's .5" difference between the 255/35-18 and 225/50-16 in overall circumference.

Would tag the Liners with stock wheels on real hard cornering. The Volks would rip the fender down until I Had them rolled. They still touched and busted my Washer fluid resvoir. The liners took a beating also. All in front. The rears havnt ever touched anything with either springs or wheel/tire combo. I thought about coilovers. they are just a pain in the *** and they blow out when you street drive them. Ive seen it happen a few times. The Bilsteins are bullitproof.

If these are going on an FD you need to get a differnt Bolt pattern. the 5x100 is wrong. It needs to be 5x 114.3mm. Also that offset is tight. They might touch the Spring because the more posative the offset the further inboard they fit. The Stock wheels are +50 offset but the wheels are only 8 inches wide. I dunno if they will clear the stock trailing arms in the rear either. The Optimum offset would be +44 with that size wheel . Also be sure of the bolt pattern and the CENTERBORE. I dont know the stock size off hand. But if the wheel is larger its ok cause you can use hubcentric rings. But if the wheel centerbore is smaller then the Hub on the Car they wont fit unless the wheel is machined out (Pain in the ***).

Tires *and* offset.

Here's a great reference:

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Drop in the size of the stock tires (225/50/16), then drop in the size of the new tires and wheels you're considering, and if the new setup of tires and wheels is taller than stock, then they won't fit.
