Adjustable Front Swaybar Question

Adjustable Front Swaybar Question
Hello all, I have just bought a 3rd gen track car with the adjustable tubular swaybar. I have 2 questions.
1. With the car on jackstands is there supposed to be any side to side travel of the bar? My bar moves a little side to side, bascially bump stop to bump stop where the bar is mounted to the frame. Is this normal?
2. What are the adjustments i.e.- what hole location makes the car stiffer or softer?
Thanks,
Jim

Most modular bars use two-piece collars with set screws to locate the bar laterally. If yours has this kind of collar, just loosen the screws and place the collars right against the frame mount bushings and re-tighten, and the bar won't be able to move laterally anymore. Should be self-explanatory when you look at it. The bushings themselves can allow some play too if they're urethane or rubber.
Adjustment holes closer to bar = stiffer, further from bar = softer. Think leverage.
