Try more like +40 offset, maybe down to +36 with rolling (maybe). Without rolling, you will need a +41 or +42 minimum, depending on the tire model.

Actuall, w/ 11" width, you'll need more offset. Gene Felbers 18x11" were +48's, and required REMOVAL (not just rolling) of the lip, and were still TIGHT with a 295/30/18.

With an 11" width wouldn't you go to 315?

^^^^^^^

Most 275-section tires list 11" as a maximum rim mount size, whereas most 315's would list 11" as a minimum mount size. I'd probably settle in at 295, but anything in that range would work.

one more question, maybe you can help me - how much of the rim will stick out (19x10inch) in the rear with +11 offsett? 3inches?

It will stick out about 1/2" clear past the fender opening (not the fender lip, the opening).

thanks again Rynberg.

- not sure about flares yet (is it possible to roll the guards without damaging the paint to clear the wheel?)

Do you think it would be safe driving at a higher ride height with the wheels sticking out that much? I know my GT-C side skirts stick out at least half an inch around the rear guard so it would look too bad from the front, its just the top of the guard which will look noticeable.

I don't think you understood me, those wheels will stick out 1/2" past the fender, rolling the fenders will not help. I do not think it will be safe driving around, even at stock ride height. I think you need to look at better fitting wheels. We haven't even mentioned the negative effects on the suspension from the low offset.

if your determined you could make it fit with a stretched tire and some fender pulling, we fit 18x10.5 +0 on stock pulled fenders. it can be done, the question is how bad do you want it?

Besides increased wheel bearing wear, run a search on "scrub radius". You will also have a wider track at the rear compared to the front, which will increase understeer.

Please let's not go there....he is talking about proper width 275 tires on there, not stretching 225s on the wheel.

My GT-C skirts stick out abit too at the rear, and maybe with Burnout flare would cover that 1/2 inch?

yeh, im pretty determined now after seeing this red car - with his 10.5inches on the rears

the ones im after are SSR Professor SP1's in black, im a jdm show pony and like to cruise alot.....but i'll use other lighweight wheels 'if' i ever hit the track.

Specs are as listed on the first post for the rears:
19x10inch +11offset 275/30

and fronts:
19x8inch +24offset 235/35

I'll be trial fitting the wheels tomorrow (Saturday here) and will post pics up.
Thanks everyone for their advice... i appreciate it.

Are those the offsets of the car pictured? If so, why are you asking us, if not, a proven set up is 18x10.5 +50 if 10.5 width is what you desire. This works on stock fenders too.

Gene Felber ran 18x11 +48 offset rears, which is equivalent to a 10" +35 wheel. He had to CUT the fender lips off (not just roll) to get the 295/30 tire to clear.

im pretty sure you can find those ssrs in at least a 38. if these are street wheels put a smaller tires on, like 255 maybe?

10 inches that low stick out a lot! i cant imagine how crazy this will be with 19s good luck!

Rynberg - You were totally right , I now have a good excuse to go widebody at the rears.

See my new post in the 3rd Gen thread.
