1989 Rear End...

Ok, I dont know if this is going to make much sense to you guys or not, but im putting a 1989 Mazda Rx7 IRS ( Indpendent Rear Suspension ) on my 2002 Blazer, think its a 89, im attaching a pic if someone can tell me otherwise ... I have the rear end, but im looking for a diagram or something of how to break down the rear end.. Something that covers pretty much every nut and bolt so it can be dissasembled, sand blasted, and powdercoated... and to figure out what needs to be replaced.. Hoping someone can help me out .. Thanks Alot .. ~Adam~

You can download the factory part diagrams from www.mazdaformance.com

Go to "RX-7" and then "Parts Diagrams".

Other than that you could just go to an autoparts store and buy a repair manual for the car.

Good luck.

Interesting choice!

As Damon mentioned, you can find the parts diagrams at Mazdaformance's website.

Just thought I would ask, why did you choose to go w/ the FC rear suspension? What is your particular application for the 2002 Blazer?

Forgot I posted this on here.... Well, were using the IRS with some custom made frame rails and a cantilever air ride setup ... the IRS will give the 22's a nice rear camber only problem is going to be finding a 22" wheel in that bolt pattern.... proly going to have to be made..

I need to set the email confrimation thing on or something.. keep forgetting about this forum... The motor in the truck is 4.3L v6 .. nothing crazy ... factory with an intake .. and thanks for the adapter offer, but im trying not to run adapters on a 50g truck .. Guess if all else fails I can have the wheels filled and drilled .. Does anyone know if and how I can change this over to a 5 lug bolt pattern? .. Changing lug patterns or not, I dont think a 22" wheel is going to be safe on 4 studs... Im sure these are some uncommon questions here but thanks for your help guys.. I know some people that have posted on other forums about putting car parts on other brands of cars and everyone just gives em the " WTF are you doing that for? " question.. You guys are a big help ... ~ADAM~

Nobody gets upset here until you replace a rotary with a piston motor

I'd say do yourself a favor and buy the 5 lug IRS. In the end it will probably wind up costing you the same amount.
