19" wheels to FD3S

Hi,

I'm going to have Buddy Club Racing 2 wheels to my FD. I was planning 19*9" wheel with 235/35R19 tire on front and 19*10" wheel with 275/30R19 tire on back.

What would be correct ET for those wheels? Available ET:s are 25 and 40 to front wheel and 20 and 25 to rear wheel.

You'd need the 40 for the front... but neither of those ETs (which I assume are offsets) will work in the rear.

Best you could do is run the 9" +40's all around.

I have the same size rims and I have a 42 offset all around it looks good. You could also use a 38 in back. Check out the pics

so a 38 offset with a 10" in the back would have to work as well, no?

I had a 38mm in back with a 18x9 1/2 275/35 with no problems and I am running a lowered suspension about 1 1/4-1 1/2 lower. Now the 19x10 you could probably get away with a 38mm but I stay safe with a 40-42mm

No, a +38 10" wheel with a 285 will hit the fender lip, I'm guessing a 275 will also. Or it will be so close that I wouldn't risk it.

Hi,

I ended up ordering 19*9" ET40 to front and 19*10" ET25 to back. I decided to make the space for that rear wheel. I'm propably going to use 245/35R19 front and 275/30R19 rear tires.

So even though we told you it wouldn't fit, you ordered them anyway? You will need fender flares to make those wheels work.

Yep

And they WILL fit. The question is more like how much work it needs

I remember back in the day when we thought 19's were rediculous and flamed everyone for getting them. I miss those days. I think 19's are rediculous.

I was under impression that these were matters of our opinions... Ofcourse I could be wrong...

Of course they're opinions.

Your Opinion: I like 19s. I think they will look good on my Rx-7. I want to get them. Can you guys help me out with sizes? k...thanks for the help....I won't use any of it and I'll just do what I was going to do originally before I even started this thread.

My Opinion: 19's are big heavy and begin to look funny on rx-7's. Tire sizes are quite limited when going with 19's as opposed to something smaller.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm sure your Drift Rx-7 will turn out just fine in the end.

Lets see how it wil come out. And it is always easier to change offset smaller (with spacers) than bigger.

And come on, we are only talking about 15mm, not anything bigger.

And will likely "plow" like one too.....

DriftRX7: It has never made sense to me to try to make a bunch of modifications to a car instead of just buying wheels that fit in the first place. Especially when there are wheels that fit properly and look much like the Buddy Club 2, like the SSR Competition or GT-7 (of course, those may become hard to get very soon).

Well, no... your rear wheels will already be approximately 17-20 mm too far OUT. How are you going to use spacers to push them back in??

You needed approximately a +40-42 in the rear to fit.

Here's a 10" +42. Your wheel is going to stock 17 mm further out:

Today I got my wheels! These are propably one of the last sets of wheels leaving Buddy Club (First Inc) before their bankruptcy. I thought that I wont get em, but today the surprise was huge when I found out that I've got those.

Here is some pictures.

They look very nice but I'm predicting these are going up on Ebay very soon....like after you mount them and find out they stick out 3/4" past the fender opening...
