19" wheel size for FD
19" wheel size for FD
I am sure this question has been asked a thousand times but i lookes for 10 minutes and could not find the answer.
I am ording a custom set of 19" 3 piece wheels and was looking for the largest set of tires and wheels that might fit.
I am running JIC FLTA2 coilovers, Petit tow links and trainling links. I also have a brembo 14" front and 12.9" rear brake kit but that only changes the offset by a milimeter if that by the thickness of the hat.
I am considering runing a 305/25/r19 on the rear if it will fit.
What would be the largest tire and wheel i can fit front and rear without rubbing? Also what brand of tire would be recomended in that size. I want a soft compound but need very low profile as 19" may be a little big for the FD! I would also like to go fairly wide on the front but still want a little stager!
I am thinking 19x10 on the rear with 305/25/r19 and 19x8.5 front with 255/30/r19 or 255/35/r19

If this is a show car, put whatever you want on it. If it's not, stick with 18s. Run an 18x9 +45 to +50 offset up front with 255/35 and an 18x10 +50 offset in the rear with 285/30. You will need fender flares to run wider rears. BTW, tirerack shows no tires made in that 305/25 19 size anyway.
If you are obsessed with 19s, you'll have to keep the ride height pretty high and run 19x9 with 255/35 and 19x10 with 285/30. Those diameters are 1-inch bigger than stock but that's what you have to work with in that size.

i'm selling my rims if you're interested. 19" Dronnell Type II's.
Sorry for posting four times.....accident. The tires are still in awsome condition, have less than 5k miles. They're 275/30/19 in the rear and 235/35/19 in the fronts. You can run a 305 in the back easily on these if you want though. Took over 6 months to get them imported.
