Using the excel spreadsheet, it says they will clear both front and rear assuming with a fender roll.

I'm running stock shocks with RSR down springs and wondering if a 18x9.5+40 will fit up front without any issues.

Again, I have searched the forum and while there is a good amount of info on wheel and tire fitments, most fail to leave out what suspension they are running.

Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

 

What tire size are you going to use up front? Are your fenders rolled in front?

 

I was just planning to run 265 all around on the 18x9.5 +40. The fenders aren't rolled currently, but can be if they need to be.

 

I'd compromise and run a thinner tire if necessary.

 

I'd recommend a 255/35 up front, and go with the 265/35 in the rear.

You'll need a roll up front, definitely. In the rear you'll be fine.

 

Besides that, should I expect the rub the fender every time I pull in or out of a driveway? This car Is my DD for the time being but I'm currently setting it up for the track in the near future.

 

I run those same wheels with 285/30/18 Kumho V710 Autox tires front and rear.

Fenders also rolled front and rear. Kind of a tight fit in front, but it works fine.

This with 2.5 inch springs on a Ground Control setup.

 

Any reason why? I think I always see recommendations running 255 front and 265 rears but with no real reason.

 

The 255/35 is smaller in overall circumference/diameter than the 265/35 by a significant amount, making front fitment easier. That being said, Ive previously ran the 265/35 on a 18x9.5+45 up front with no issues, running Koni Yellows and RSR race springs. With a fender roll youll be fine and Id recommend the 265s just do you have the ability to rotate.

 

So far after rolling the fenders, the clearance with the rear is fine but sometimes on steep driveways or making quick turns, it does rub the fender. I suspect a good alignment is all I need to tuck the wheel in a bit more at the top to solve my problem.
