17x8 17x9 R compound tire choices?

I have a set of 17x8 34 offset and 17x 9 38 offset wheels on their way, theese will be used for open track days and street use so I,m looking for a tire I can drive to the track, run and drive home again.

I would like the max stick possible F+R and digging through lots of info have some possibles Ao32r,s Pilot Sport cups, V700,s,Falken Azenis, any others I,m forgetting ?

I will probably shave and heat cycle them and do not have a problem buying another set after a few thosand miles as my priority is not getting 10 thousand miles out of them. Thanks for your info,Carl.

those tires you have listed will get trashed in 1k miles on the street (tried that .... For street and track try Falken FK 451's or Pirelli A's.... both great for the all purpose racer...if you know what I'm saying.... track only tires, get Hoosier's....although I'm thinking about the Pirelli Corsa's next but some say they shread real fast

I,d love some Hoosiers.
I seriously would be happy with something that would not go off after multiple heat cycles and would stick better than a UHP tire, like the old Yoko avs.
Even though theese are going to be my track set,I have a feeling that I wont want to give up the grip when I,m on the street

I have +35 offset (front), if you can fit wider the 225's (without rubbing un full turn lock) i'd sure like to know!

I am running 225's & 255's and for street i'd like to run 235 & 265 but I think they will rub.

A032's are great dual purpose but some burnout to warm up. Oh and are noisy on the highway and don't have rim protector beads. I ahven't tried the new "S" compund. The Azenas are very limited sizes and although I have them up front you can't get them wider then 245 for the rear.

Mabey someone will chime in on the 225 or 235 issue?because I can fit a 10 mm spacers to my 255 wide wheels now, admittedly not very scientific but making the offset similar.
With a high 50 offset I,d stuff a 255 tire in there no worries.
Mabe a 245/40 would give me the width and the clearance without rubbing?
