*** anti theft solution ***
I found some new(?) ways to stop people from taken your car...
http://www.brakelock.com/
http://gmcmotorhomeinfo.com/BRKLOCK.html
havn't found much info on the brakelock, but the mico parking lock is used a bit on big rigs and trucks. BTW the mico thing runs about 300 bucks and the brakelock is $125.
what do you think? You guys hear anything about them?
and think there would be a problem with the constant pressure in the lines?

here's a different model a bit cheaper. It's the lever model.
To lock:
-turn lever on
-hit brakes
Unlock:
-turn lever off
-and go
The neat thing here is you can cable operate the lever or hide it under the hood or back seat. But in responce to the brake pressure concerns, you simply turn the device on. Don't press the brake. So as soon as the theif backs the car up and hits the brake once, it locks. Theif can't go forward and is stuck doing burn outs in the parking lot, thief panics and runs.
What do you think? No constant pressure and it won't go far.

it doesn't, but short from a tow truck, it should help with the lesser thieves, especailly if coupled with something like a engine immoblizer. I know it many not be the best solution but figured I'd throw it out there.
I understand that any car can be stolen, if they want it bad enough. I learned that some theives will even use oil/grease to lube the ground and slide the car to a flat bed then winch it up, drive away, with out even setting off the alarm. I have no clue on how to stop this, but was hoping to see if this idea might work and see if other had though of it.

Hey. I'm sure many of you have heard of RX-7 owners installing a switch (on/off) for the fuel pump to prevent the car from flooding. Well, why not just make that switch a key-operated switch and hide it up under that little panel where the AAS and power mirror controls are (if equipped) and hide all the lines under ur center console. No one could steal it without the key to fuel pump switch, and unlike ignitions, most people wouldn't think to look for a switch for the fuel pump. Like brakelock, or anything else, it's not repo-man proof, or even determined thief proof, but it will work in most cases I think.
