Just curious if anyone has some specific experience. My car is an s5 with I/E. I'm putting the turbo back on again soon and I've been wanting to actually tune the car a little this summer. It runs well as it is, my af meter stays consistantly rich. It also shoots flames once in a while, so this is probably true. It has stock injectors but a walpro fuel pump. Knightsport chip which I regret because its an unknown. Any info is appreciated.

 

i really don't know man but i hear people that said it can give you 10hp, that depends on your tunning, im goig to tune mine this wekeend if my walbro fuel pump gets here. my mods are rb turbo complete exhaust, safc2,walbro fp, running 11 psi, 550's all around. i know that the safc2 is going to help but will see how much hp i get out of this.

 

The amount of performance you're going to get, with any system, whether it be a piggyback SAFC or a Haltech or somethin bigger depends on the expertise of the tuner. Find a good one, look in your area. I'm sure your locals in Mich. probably know who's the best around there. If it's like it is in AZ, there's no one to do it 'cept for board members who know the system(s). Best of luck to ya!

 

Tuning with the S-AFC by itself is mainly about recovering a lot of lost power, and only gaining a little.

Real power gains come from colder air at higher boost with more fuel.
