tuning

I was just wondering if you could get a decent tune just off of the o2 sensor and A/F gauge? or is a wideband necessary?

nope, the only thing you could tune "decent" with a narrowband (the stock) O2 sensor is maybe cruise. other than that you really need a wideband to tune.
