Super AFC Safc Help!!!!!!!!!
Safc Help!!!!!!!!!
i was wondering if someone would tell me how to set my safc.. i try to program it but then it isn't working.. can someone guide me step by step on how to program it..
make sure it's properly installed first. Then go to www.apexi.com and go to their support page and download the manual to the SAFC to familiarize yourself with the controls. Then go into settings mode and you can increase or decrease the correction for the high and low throttle map. You will really only be able to tune WOT though and the idle mixture.
Everything else is basically useless. If you have an s4 you have a narrow-range TPS so you're in the 100% map almost all the time. And even then, your closed loop o2 sensor correction will take over during crusing, and the ECU can already handle acceleration enrichments (extra fuel added in as you suddenly open the throttle) just fine. I myself have a wideband on my n/a and I've observed what effect the SAFC has.
I wouldn't even mess with it unless you have a wideband in your car or you are at a dyno.

do yourself a favor and do it this way. I cant remember if doing it that way also shows the boost or if its another wire but it really is a nice boost gage if you get it to work.

If i remember right i tied in both wires of the afc to the boost sensor wire of the ECU. This gave me the boost gauge (very nice feature) plus the wider range for my air/mixture. One was the "boost wire" of the AFC the other I think was "throtle"
