LS1 Powered FD's

Guys... seems like a decent amount of people are asking us to convert there FD's to Piston power. If your thinking about doing this swap give us a ring or stop by the shop and we can show you and discuss different options!

... heres a small video of a LS1 Powered FD that we did at the shop. sounds nice and we buillt it to 500HP. The video is not the greatest but you can get the idea! We will have more vids soon.

That thing sounds beastly! If I had the money I would do the swap without thinking twice.

if we had all the parts, the engine, the car....what type of price would people be looking at for the conversion. im sure it would be competitive with hinsons right? 9k for the conversion seems outrageous to me. great looking and sounding car though! awesome job!

I've been for a ride in this car. Pretty impressive. The exhaust sound in the video doesn't quite do it justice. Its really loud! The whole car rattles with the exhaust note.

Did you make your own subframe? If not who's did you use?

I would rather buy locally.

Anyone else thing that car is stupidly low lol? Is it not tucking at all? I don't know, maybe it's the kit that is giving me the illusion of it being really really low. By the way, what kit is that, I like it.

Love the video/sound of the car. What did you do to get the 500? What mods etc.

Hood not down all the way?

This morning I heard a car driving up Van Ness Ave in SF that sounded like TORQUE. It was an LS-series engine, so I turned to see what kind of Corvette it was. When I looked it was a Montego Blue FD.

The sound and thought of an LS1 in my FD stuck with me for the next hour at work.

And how the driver didn't have to rev the engine to accelerate up the street from a dead stop....

Having owned half-a-dozen Cadillacs - including two 500ci Coupe DeVilles - Im used to IMMEDIATE TORQUE, and I love my FD, but it's frustrating waiting til 3000 to feel like Im driving a fast car.

Mazda should have made the FD with a 20B.

Just my thoughts on this topic....

Does anyone have an fd with a ls1 for sale? I love my fd but I need a daily driver. I think an fd with an ls1 would be perfect for me.
