Which rotors are the best for GT42R Kit with nitrous in mind, heavier 8.5 compression or lighter 9.0 compression?

The heavier ones are more durable on the face, if you have a set just lighten them and run those.

Now that i'm in the right section.....

On a big street port with your 20b mani and a BB cartrage 42R, would this turbo be able to flow 20+psi with a full 4" exhaust?

Would a 1.15 AR be sufficient, or is that a little bit too small for a 20b?

With a 1.15 AR (or suggest what would be the best please), big street port, 1000 primaries and 1600 secondaries with dual Aeromotive 1000 pumps, -10 feed and -8 return with a fuel cell and a 4" exhaust, two questions:
1. When would you expect full boost on a 20b (15psi) with your manifold
2. would this setup be sufficient for 600+ on pump gas (93) and 1000 on race gas (100 un or 110 leaded)?

I'm doing research and debating between a 13b-re or 20b swap. Thanks for the info, i'll probably be back to ask more questions.

Yes it will flow 20+ PSI, we usually set them up to run with 1.0 T6's a 1.15 would work but not be too small. As for the all the hp and response questions. They will vary from setup to setup. Depending on tune, IC set-up, portwork done, and numerous other things. Will it be a 600hp street car? Yes. Will it have decent response? Yes. Max hp is all up to your tuner and level of build.

Thanks for the info, what, in your opinion, is the best (i know, arbitrary term, i'm talking about being able to control everything and get the safest tune out of it. i'll be running pre-mix on either the 13b or 20b setup, so besides that....?) ECU for a 20b setup? Haltech, Microtech, (i don't think that it'll work, but i'll ask anyway) PFC, (shouldn't ask about this because very few tuners can use it, but i'm curious, so) MoTec, or...? I know that people either use the Microtech or Haltech, but is there something better?

For a ecu I would use whatever your tuner is most familiar with otherwise you will end up with a car he can't tune or will be learning on. ECU's you could use are microtech, haltech, motec and one or two others but the main thing is that the tuner you choose knows the system.

I got mine a few days ago. . .GT4202R (1.01 A/R Hot Side)

the craftsmanship on the manifold and exhaust are TOP NOTCH! Anyone on the fence should go ahead and jump offf onthe A-Spec side of it because you WILL NOT be dissappointed.

I will be posting pics in a few weeks when the car is done in the 20B section and when I do, i'll ink it here.

Again, AWESOME product!

Hey Zero R, I'm the guy that LSE performance in minnesota is getting the GT42R kit for. Just wondering, have they placed the order yet? What turbo did you and Josh decide on? Thanks

Sean if you dont minde me asking what is a c port.

I would leave the larger one for 20B's and Bridge ported or C-ported motors. With the 74 you will have 1bar by around 3600 rpms. On my car I have it set up with 2" primaries, T6, Full 5" exhaust running a 1.01 housing. I have no doubt it will be able to spool up quick.

I will be getting dyno charts and such up as they come. There will be a section here just for that purpose.

Combi-port. That meaning you would be running a side port and peri-port.

I wasn't in the shop the past two days, it is one of the rare times I actually got sick. Last I checked I heard they called. But I'm not sure if a order was placed at that time.

How much for the kit? So Tial makes just a turbine manifold so we can still use the rest of the turbo?

The new 42R kits with the TiAL housings are $4500 that is the RHD setup. It will obviously work on a LHD car but I would like to make a LHD specific kit shortly. Kit's come with the same warranty manifold, DP, lines are warranted for as long as you own them.

Definately a thing of beauty with the Vband. Must make fitting it alot easier too without the need for studs.

Do you make this kit for RHD 20B? Also, is response time affected in the RHD setup?

Thanks!

I tried my kit on today and right now the answer is no. It needs about a half inch more clearance. Thinking i will space it out. The problem isn´t the turbo so much due to the v-band flange you can twist it a bit. The problem is the WG runner, the WG hits the LIM. But it´s minor work for Sean to make it perfect!
