Still looking. No S4's with S5 intakes here? I'm not convinced to tackle this project solo. Anyone looking for some $$$ and a Saturday project sometime soon? ...sorry, no "practice" - must have the skills. I'd prefer to be hands on as well, I've got the tools and normally do the wrenching on the car, minus motor stuff. It's a race car so the engine compartment is already pretty much stripped. Ari built the motor but does not believe in S5 intake on the S4, says it's not worth it in his opinion.

its not worth it unless u get the 5 and 6th ports to work (u need an air pump). When I did the swap I had a getto way (a syringe) of opening the ports (and not very effective). I did notice an improvement over the S4 though. Check out the last page on my site in sig! Its not the best pic. There is a writeup that I followed and got me through it. I got lucky and bought a S5 parts car. For the cost of someone else to do it I say go other options. IMHO i'd do it myself. Just take your time and follow the writeup. If you can't find the writeup let me know and I'll see if I can find it.

From my research I'll use Pineapple Racing sleeves and wire the VDI open I think. The motor only sees high RPM use (5500-8400). I have seen numerous write ups but to be honest, as I said before, the motor is my weak point, I'm a little nervous pulling all that crap out and not being able to get it back together. I can take the brakes, suspension, body apart blindfolded though!

Remember, I said I'd pay good $$$$ for some one to come help. Not talking pizza and beer money either. Who's got the skills and has taken motors apart?

I'd be willing to lend a hand but like you the motor is my weak point.

if you can do brakes and the like, the swap is not that hard. To his own though.

I actually did the hard one, I swapped an s5 UIM on and kept the s4 LIM. It was a bit of a pain in the ***, and I ended up drilling a small hole in my UIM (JB Weld FTW!) For the 2k miles it ran before the coolant seals finally went it ran great. Added a noticable bit of power (I've seen dynos of 15 rwhp gains) and raised the power band almost 1k. Unfortunately I'm too far away to help, but I would if I was in the area.
