T wised, Angel, Larry, Scott, Me, Chuck and KEITH - this is one of your golden days.
We'll have bbq, **** on a stick.
I don't know if scott wants me posting his address online but I'm pretty sure half the fourm knows where it is.

the motor will be there by 7pm today, it'll probably even be started tonight.
Tomorrow will be finishing whatever didn't get done today on the motor install and body (Scott might not paint today if the rain continues).
There is even a chance that we'll be doing a tuning session at a certain warehouse Monday afternoon.

That is cool as long as we can get her car striped down by then, it would be a bad site if she pulled up with us taking her car apart.

Just kidding

Well the engine is getting better, this was the first motor i built with everything being used seals, Apex, Corner, Side, Oil Control, but I used new water seals
We had a hard time getting it to start, got it to start one good time (I was in direct fire on the exhuast and it let me have it) then we did the first compression test,
Front 40 <-> 48
Rear 52 <-> 60
Pretty bad, but it was used seals and they are not in there normal broken in places, so we need to run the motor to try and get them to wear into the new spots.
I went back today around 12:30 and started the motor to run it for as many hours as i could before I had to go to work. I removed the Power Valve from the holley carb to fix the extreme rich condition that it was doing. Got it running and ran it for 60 mins @ 2000rpms and 30 mins @ 5000rpms this helped the compression alot.
Below is TwistedRotors TR-01 Compression tester

I am going to go back over there tomarrow and do the running agian, it is kinda hard to start but will start, the only way we can leave this motor in the car is if it will start on its own everytime, so if we can get the compression up some more I think it will be ok. Only way to do this is run it.
If we can get 4+ hours more of run time then we maybe in good shape.
While the compression is low the motor sounds so bad *** when it is running up in the RPM range, TwistedRotors has some videos if he would post them.

Very true, those videos are from my digital camera...it just couldn't take the volume. In the first video there isn't even a header bolted to the engine. Ear bleedingly sexy!
