Yea the Traffic really killed me, I left Freeport @ 4:00pm and made it to the meet at 6:13pm, That is two hours to get 70 miles, that is horrible.
Well I will agree on the lighting problem, this just means that the rest of the meetings need to be in a lighted parking lot, Freebirds, Barry's, and i hate to say it Frenchy's.
On a side note, I think me and Allen (with crew) will be going to a Dallas Meet, possible next month, just to see how they handle things.

This time of year it might be better to meet on weekend afternoons? Once the sun goes down in houston during rush hour traffic (after the winter time change) the sheep slow down like an old lady, the sheep cannot drive in the dark/rain/etc.
i need to weld up a locomotive style cattle guard for the vert, cattle guards should work on sheep huh?

We had a meet on the outside of the city (along 6-10) just after rush hour. And unless you're coming from like the woodlands, you're going to get traffic. most of us came from either downtown or the southish side, and had to deal with the heard of sheep heading out. I think the freebirds/barrys location is better in terms of dealing with traffic.
Meeting places?
How are the meeting places chosen? Is it just places in the central Houston area that have good parking lots that are well lit? Also, Who would I have to contact about making new suggestions on places to have the meets? Kieth?

You can email Keith Or you can email me and i can get a hold of him.
There is a thread on the local forum that we are discussing next years meeting location. http://www.houstonrx7club.com/forum/...&threadid=1598
I am working on member sponsored events, in other words, someone from the club is in charge of getting the location and date.
