We've looked at the forecasts and they're predicting that remnants of Rita will hit DFW 7am Sunday morning. That means that for the majority of the day Saturday, we'll be fine. It may start to rain towards the end or that night, but the day should be very nice - high of 87 (and I'm hoping for clouds and a slight breeze). IMO, not much of the storm will make it to DFW as we're pretty far inland.

Besides, sugar don't melt.

 

I think we'll be coming up Friday afternoon.... does the park allow overnight camping? If not we'll find some place to sleep nearby.

Oh, BTW, I'm now just bringing one car. Too much stuff to get inside and protected to finish the other. But I am bringing my 12A "cutaway".

Don't give me **** about not making it now. I'm on stand-by to be deployed for a week or so. My leave was canceled at the very last second yesterday and now I have to work through the weekend and beyond.

Stick it out and have as much fun as we would if it was bright shiny clear. It's not going to be that bad if it does make it to the Dallas area by Sat. I bet it doesn't even get there until late Saturday early Sunday. But I'm not a meteorologist.
