BDC,

No offense but not every one who does good work is posting it up on 7 club.

I have seen your work and it is very nice, but that doesn't mean you have to post things like above. Humility goes a long way sometimes.

Good luck and keep the rotors spinning.

It wasn't meant to be offensive or arrogant; it's meant exactly as was delivered -- " You get what you pay for" -- the old addage that's almost always true. In that, there's good places to spend your money for work and some not-so-good places. Let the customer and ultimately the market determine that, I say. You get what you pay for.

I'll port your engine for $20.

I always wanted to practice.

I went over to brads and saw what he does and for 250 for the whole engine it isn't bad. It is actually very good.

Every time I read the club it seems like another person thinks they know everything and that we can't all help each other. That is why I am posted that I am tired of it. For example: https://www.rx7club.com/single-turbo-rx-7s-23/new-dyno-numbers-666247/page3/

Its like everyone has to prove they are best around here. Hell work speaks for its self. I know yours is good.

Anything I do is for fun. It could take me 3 weeks to port a motor and I tell everyone that. I don't run a shop and I don't have to make a profit. If it is not up to my standards I'll redo it or replace it. Trust me the second motor I ported for someone other than myself I slipped. I bought him a new plate and finished it. I paid to do it, but you know what I can afford to do that.

I just know several people who have very good knowledge and have been racing 13b's longer than I am alive, and they could care less to post on here. So not everyone is on 7club.

Sorry for the rant its just like everyone has an attitude lately.

I'm not sure if this is pointed towards me in any way, but assuming that it is, I'll tell you that I've had my own dealings with that character Rice. He pulled some of the same stuff in a few of my threads in a different section of this forum. His style -- his abusive character -- that's not how I'm intending to come off. But, rather, I'm trying to convey a point here that I think rings true with not only engine porting per se but with alot of things: We get what we pay for. For crying out loud, we're paying people to mess with our car engines that we're sinking alot of money into. That in and of itself I think reasonably demands a level of confidence, if not expertise, in the person or shop doing it as it's very, very easy to not only screw something up on the engine itself but it's also very, very easy to create a detrimental condition that will later screw something up. Am I coming off correctly? That's all I meant. I'm not interested in fighting at all. Instead, I am interested in doing a good job and helping others not be screwed around.

yeah not sure why he got bent out of shape, I didn't see your first post as derogatory at all. Porting is something not to be taken lightly and when getting someone to do it you want to make sure he KNOWS what he is doing and usually you will PAY for that knowledge. Brian does stand up work that if I didn't know any better I would think it was done by a machine but thats not to say he is the only one out there doing this kind of work however his experiance does speak volumes. he's just reminding you that you get what you pay for. Good luck with your motor and ....... You should go half bridge

Ummm Really I'm trying to figure out what is going on. I can tell you that I liked brads work and I have met him before. Now why i didn't choose BDC is because I dont live in Texas if i did i would take it to them. I would get what i paid for but brad pm me and says he would do it for half that and he enjoys doing it. Like i said i have no idea where this is going but all i have to say I kinda do know what brad is talking about. Some of the RX7 guys tend to be *** holes but that is just me. So anyways back to the happy side of life. I would do a Half Bridge but I want it to be street legal and not alone that I have to run a stock turbo for a while until i find a bigger turbo that is it.

No I am cool I have nothing against BDC. I probably have a poor mind set some times do to reading some of the drama on here. I probably read it incorrectly. I read it as if everyone else's porting was inferior to BDC's. I'm sure it wasn't meant that way, but at the same time I am sure he takes pride in what he does.

I think BDC has shared a lot of info. Especially on some of his ideas on higher boost w/ other fuels such as the grand national guys do.
