Too many black flags? Just what did you get black flagged for?

You get black flags for just about anything

1 or more tires off track (No matter what)
Passing under yellow
Contact with another car
Loud noise (Sound Check)

The black flag is used liberally throughout the race to call drivers off of the track for issues with their driving or with their car. Driving infractions range from any contact with another vehicle or fixed barrier and overly aggressive driving to spinning or driving four wheels off of the track. Car problems that could result in black flags are generally safety issues, such as fluid leaks, parts hanging off of the car, or inoperative lights. Drivers must report to the penalty box immediately after being shown a black flag.

The tires that we started with, where 3 year old practically brand new tires, that come to find out where crap. They looked great, where in a garage for almost the entire time.

We could not keep the rear end of the car under us. We are one of the fastest cars but with the tires in the rear, it was to many problems to keep the car straight.

We did change the tires to the Feb lemons race ones, and we only got one black flag on the 2nd day

well, I am 100% sure that it would have made the trip either way!

And I'll have you know that the same car with the same ghetto rigged megasquirt is in fort pierce FL right now (exact same distance from Houston as SS) and made it under it's own power. Besides a few problems (electrical fires) it's given me no trouble since then.

And if I can say one good thing about the megasquirt I can say THANK GOD for the over voltage protection! (or else it would have gone up in smoke like the rest)

You forgot part of the story - its not the same engine that went to Cali - only the same car.

We have the rotors from that engine in the Lemon (and 4 out of 6 faces were dented - probably from the INSANE DETONATION from when you unhooked your wastegate on the dyno at Tri-Point in Cali).

^^^ Out to break the dyno.

^^^ No caption needed honestly.

^^^ Dyno operator turning the radio down. Can only stand so much Hannah Montana.

^^^ Everyone had to get a picture.

This is when Phil pulled the Wastegate off the turbo and dented a few rotor faces

And here is for size comparison because you can see the top of it, I think the roof of that RV is about 11 feet off the ground.

Phil.

I think I finally got that whole AC in the race car thing sorted out.

If I put windows back in the car, will you ride around with this?
