Looks like you guys had a great time. Cant wait till i get to come out. I just pick up my rx-7 yesterday. Need a lot of things but Im really looking forward to the build. Not sure it will be cheaper to go with a V8 or putting back in a turbo motor. Any thoughts?

I like drag racing so my gole will be 12's and would be great to do the standing mile at around 180 mph
how much to build a turbo to do some thing like that?

weather you make more power or not stuff will start to go bad, things you don't even think about...slave cylinder, bushings, tie rods, tranny bolts, axles, diff, gears, synchrony, linkage system...the list goes on. I'v recently dived into the RX thing myself and its been nothing but change this and that. I'm in the 10's but still...I'v replaced about 40+ things now and Make sure you have a healthy cash flow

kwerks is exactly right your dealing with a car that is damn near 20 years old, so your going to have to plan on replacing lots of worn out parts.

now assuming all your other parts are fine, an Rx7 is as pure a road racing car as you will find, so turning it into a drag car will reqire more then just power mods. with the right type of suspension settings and bolt ons a tII is a mid 13 sec car. to get into the 12s you will need a well built motor and a fresh turbo.

We do our best. Our meets are fairly large and the greater portion of the gang goes on a cruise after a parking lot mingle. You'll have to come by sometime.
