My S4 TurboVert was stolen today

Downtown Dallas. Parked in the Mosaic Garage structure where only registered parking. You need a assigned key card to get in and out with one entrance and one exit. After market alarm to make noise. Security camera's. And still was stolen. Picture below: Specs far below. This is/was a labor of love to TurboVert status thought out and put together on weekends over a 5 year period. The only difference between the picture below and now is the wheels were replaced with 17's as described in the specs. I first bought it in 1992.

California License Plate MZDARA T

Keep an eye out for it or any parts listed in the Specs on craigslist, etc. If you get an indication about it, please PM me.

I'm seriously bummed out.

**** man, that's ridiculous. I'll keep my eyes out for it, hopefully it's found quickly. So the cameras didn't catch anything? Not even it being driven out of the garage?

Investigation is just starting. There is a security camera on exit, but all it will provide is at what time the car exited the structure.

I have 3 levels of security built into it BUT no lojack/gps on that car. But considering it was parked in a "secure" situation, all I had armed was the push a button aftermarket AutoPage alarm at the time. The second and third measure is/was designed to be manually armed/disarmed independantly and used when I was parked in something other than "secure" location.

I guess the Mosaic Garage isn't so secure.................

The funny part, conventional thought would be that my car was most at risk when parked at my residence in Oak Cliff. Not in a (now apparent not so high security) parking structure for $million+ condominiums. I mean, I'm surrounded by big $ticket rides like Lambo's, Maserati, Benz, BMW's, etc and they steal a 22 year old Mazda? I guess I should take it as a compliment to the work I did to it..........................

Anyway, watch for stuff like I listed installed in my car being offered for sale. I'd love to have an opportunity to drill down on who ever did this in every legal way.

Note to moderator(s).

I'd appreciate it if you would pin this for a few weeks so it stays as front center notice for a while. Our local RX7 community eyes are probably my best bet for any chance of recovery.

That sucks man, hopefully they can see what time the car exited from the cameras and then match that info with the key that opened the gate at that time.

All I know, and all I care right now, is that I got my car back.

I'm a bit unclear of the path from loss to found, but the main thing is accomplished.

I've had a car stolen only once, and it was found within 24 hours. Thus why I was waiving the help me flag like I was as time isn't your friend in these situations.

I might find a few other things needing repair, but I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to make those repairs. I'm especially glad that the top wasn't damaged as replaceing one of those is serious pocket book damage in comparison to most other things.

Moderators, please remove the pin. And thanks again for putting it there when you did.

Wait a minute, not so fast.
We were are looking out for your car, now inquiring minds want to know:
Where was it found???
Any finger prints lifted???
Any leads as how the car was able to make it out of the parking garage???
Any video showing the time this happen???
Police have any info at all???
Spill your guts, before I have it stolen again.
LOL

wow. these threads typically don't end so well. Glad you got her back mostly in one piece! I've had two cars stolen and there is very little in the world that sends you though varying emotions in quick succession like walking out to where your car should be and it not being there.

people actually steal these? I leave my keys in the ignition all the time with high hopes... but no dice.
Instead of a thief magnet mine is a retard magnet, people love to back into it and drive off.
