Cool

Highway 66 (Lakeview Pkwy.) to Chiesa Rd. to Lagoon Drive.
First house on the left.
This should be enough to get to Don's house, anyone interested in his services.

There is no secret conspiracy about Don's phone.
I have said where to find him, what I did to find him and PM for more info, if need be.

If you are looking for an apology for some unfinished business with him, well you know where to go.
I see no problem you finding him and talking to him face to face.
Are you expecting the same apology from Steve Khan engine that blew???
I'm just curious.

Silent Ninja 8 hit on the head.
Nope, I already said that I'm not looking for any kind of apology or restitution. However since you felt the need to bring up my experience with Steve Kahn, I'll go ahead and say this: my engine from Don (built towards the end of Marvelspeed) lasted 350 miles before losing compression from a broken sideseal. My engine from Kahn lasted 15,000 miles and lost compression from a cracked apex seal.

Cool

Well, I got you beat.
One of my 3 engines built by RP lasted less than 200 miles and it was fixed under warranty (not knocking RP, love those guys).
My longest lasting engine was built by Don and it took 22K miles of pure street and track abuse.
Never once, I came here to vent my issues or knock anyone.
For this same reason, I can go and build with any of them 3 builders (RP, BDC and Don).

I don't think, I need to tell you that broken seals are a product of detonation.
You hear it all the time, it is all in the tuning.
Plus, the higher the performance, the higher the risk of something going wrong.
In the end you got to pay, if you want to play.
Read Howard Coleman and you will soon find, that a reputable builder is the last in the list of possible problems, that will blow your engine.
If you don't have the supporting mechanisms, you will blow the engine no matter if Dr.Wankle build your engine and Ischiro Matsui tuned it himself.
Any engine making over 350 RWHP is going to blow eventually.

Broken side seals are not a product of detonation. Considering I was breaking in the engine very carefully as I always do (no boost and <3,500 RPM) there's no way detonation could have played a factor in it.

Thank you, thank you.. I'll be here all week except on Tuesdays when I play at the Copacabana Ballroom.

I see people screw Steve's name up all the time. Every once in a while I try to educate.

In all my years in this Forum, I can only recall 2 members admitting boosting while on breaking and busting their engine.
The other thousand members, have never admitted it, swear proper breaking procedures, no over heating, no high RPM's, good high octane gas, perfect tuning and blame the builder.
Oh well, you won't have none of those problems anymore, since you are going V8.
So, move on and be happy

Interesting. Detonation broke my side seals, killing the motor.

At least, that's my impression.
I haven't logged into the forum since 2004 and it only took 3 days after I asked to find him. That's probably only because I didn't log back in for 2 days. Glad I did because I found an FB for a coworker of mine and she's going to take it to him. Luckily for her he had just finished working on the FB 3 weeks ago and remembered it. Thanks guys.

I hope you haven't introduced her to the forums lol. That poor woman doesn't know what she's getting into, especially if she starts reading the lounge lol.

Talking

If she is a hot looking mama, I volunteer to INTRODUCE her to the RX13 Club and console when her RX13 is down for repairs.

Stickers to be sold soon locally only.
Work is still in progress by Silent Ninja and Marshall.
Logo still missing: "The RX13 goes ZOOM -ZOOM-BOOM"

LOL who did the white one, marshall? haha you know all you had to do was ask me to change the color since I have the original files to manipulate. That white one needs to be cleaned up quite a bit, there's a lot of "excess" still showing. and yep still working on another one, but it's just not coming out how I want it yet.

and I think the last thing anyone should do is introduce her to Robert, they would absolutely quit the rotary scene .

I tried to warn her about the forum. Not sure if she signed up or not but knowing her she will. Might actually be good for her to learn the hard way. Plus it'll teach her the good and bad about her car. I didn't make it to the cruise tonight but I told her about it.

As far as hot? Every person has their likes and dislikes so that'll be your call to make. Either way she's really cool so be nice to her if she does ever make it out.

Yes, sir.

I didn't "change the color", really. I just wanted it to look like an actual cracked/broke rotor. If you look, it's not even an actual lightning bolt, as it is in yours. It's just a crack in the rotor logo. Much clean up on mine is defiantly needed. I used Paint, not photoshop.

Yeah I cleaned it up for you, now we're experimenting with different colors. Leave it to Robert to be indecisive . I'm still hoping my other idea will pan out, but no matter what I try I can't get it tweaked the way I want it. Maybe I need to go back to my roots and try it in paint lol, solid idea on your part.

If you'd like, I can have my dad do it. He does this for a living and all.
