HIT AND RUN in Dallas

Earlier this morning, while I was driving to work, a lady hit me in a Gold/Beige/Champaign colored 90's 4dr Saturn and took off. I was driving my Ford GT500 and could not get her license plate.

Time: 6:00AM-6:15AM (Made 911 call for hit and run at 6:15AM)

Location: Westbound I-30 (downtown dallas after the 45 split but before the 35 split) Right beside the Ervay exit that is located on the left. I was in the far left lane and was at a complete stop.

My car: White 2011 Ford Shelby GT500 SVTPP

Car that rear ended me and fled (I believe): Early 90's 4dr Saturn, Gold/Beige/Champaign

Damage to my car: Rear diffuser, bumper, and exhaust.

If you have any information please let me know! PM or Email me

Thanks,
David

I tried but it was stop and go traffic. No one would let me over to the moving lane to catch her. No one else reported a hit and run either. Even tried contacting TXDoT to see if they have a recording on thier traffic cams but they dont record. Only NTAA records the highways.

Question

Can you elaborate how this happen???
I just can't see how someone rear ends you and is able to escape, if the traffic was as heavy as you describe.
I mean I guess you can follow even from the distance and see where they are going.
*sorry about the hit, nice car BTW.

That's sad; Ford that can't catch a Saturn. Maybe had you been at a dead stop. Those Saturns are known for there drag racing from a roll though.

stop and go traffic. I was on the far left lane right by the ervay exit. the lane in the middle started moving and xhe squeezed herself inbetween considering she wants to run and not care about her car. I have a larger vehicle and I actually do care about my car and therfore I will not cut someone off. No one lets me through so she is able to get away. Lanes of traffic all have different move rates and is not constant on all lanes. That is how she was able to get away and the car she cut in front of tail gated her so I was not able to read the plates.

BTW I was rear ended in the FD about 6 or 7 months prior on I-30 but the girl had insurance and did stop. She was a 16 year old girl and I still have video of the damage and information from her insurance and license.

Thanks,
David

Go back to that same location at the same time and chances are good that you will catch her, maybe wait a week or two. At that time of day it is unlikely she was headed anywhere except on her routine trip to work.

That's not a bad idea. I see many of the same vehicles weekly on my way to work. Don't know any of them, but for sure, most people are creatures of habit.

This time be in the fast car, not the Slowstang, so you can catch her.
Good luck hunting her down.

Cant go fast when the traffic is retarded. I should have just locked the doors and ran after her. I would have caught her that way.
