Gun Range Meet?
Gun Range Meet?
Was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a gun range meet? Why do we always have to go to a restaurant? Im sure most of YOU have a gun right? There is a nice new indoor range off 45 and 646.. http://www.thearmsroomtx.com/ or for a outdoor range there is a nice one in Texas City ..http://www.texas-city-tx.org/Shootin...otingRange.htm ....much cheaper for the Texas City one, and you can shoot all day (if you have that much ammo) Both have good parking. Let me know what you think

The indoor range is really nice. They loan out the nice electronic head phones, the target shows the distance you are shooting from, and it is air conditioned....but it is more expensive.
ive been to only outdoor places like carters country. i have my Sig 556, i just have it in pieces right now. cleaning it and trying to order some new stuff for it. but target ammo is cheap as hell for it so im in either way. i just get more fun out of shooting skeet vs a stationary paper target. just my .02
I-610 S and I-45 S 56.5 mi, 1 hour 15 mins.. hmmm kind of far
threes plenty closer ranges in houston why so far out?
im willing to go though, but not if its not set in stone. all or nothing with me pick a date and ill go. but i cant speak for others

I would go if it were at this location (American Shooting Centers), but I have no guns. Might be able to convince my dad to come with me and bring some, however.
its closer for sure , and they seem pretty cheap. not sure about the facilities themselves or the staff, ive heard some horror stories about that place (American Shooting Centers) has anyone been there personally?
Also a separate area for shotguns.
I can't say much about the staff. Our interaction basically consists of going to the office, letting them know we will be shooting at 200yds or greater, paying our dues, then shooting. In that sense, we have never had any problems.
Darwinism acts again, as it should! They have expanded their safety rules over the years due to events like this. It is worst on weekends when the stupid masses arrive. Best during the week when it is not crowded when the real guns owners are there.
