Anyway, this is starting to get expensive. I found another lawyer, but he's charging $250/hr for a consiltation. He's willing to write up a letter to send to Marcos informing them of impending legal action for $500-$700! I don't have this kinda cash right now.
I'm officially at a stalemate. I'm frankly just ready to take Gabriel to small claims and be done with it.

You already took a big blow. The lawyer is going to give you another one with his bill. If you think this F..ing Bastard of GG, is going to have any cash to pay your damages and lawyers cost, you are as naive as day one.
Get what ever you can, at small claims court just to minimize your losses and be done with.
By taking up more time to act on this, you are risking this guy to dissappear on you and then who you are going to collect from.
I know you want to get this MO....FU.....R for all you can, but lets be realistic here and don't let the emotions blind you from thinking straight.
What are your chances at getting him to pay up????
Does he has any assets, property (worth something) or a chunky bank account???
Most likely not, so speed up the collection of data and head down to small claims court and get what ever you can NOW!!!!!!.
Don't you think he is planning what to do, after all this long going thread???
Good luck.

Dude this will be the best way to take care of this
Fix your car put a 150 shot of NOS drive by his shop as soon as you see him outside let the cluch go at 8000rpm landed the car on him and then all you said is i didn't know what happen.
many people get away with this, and instead of him been well known at a forum we will know about him on unsolved cases on tv.
And you will be happy for the rest of your life.
Im puertorican and never heard about this guy neither in the island or texas untill now
there is a lot of puertoricans that know about this and i bet he will pay some how for what he did to you.

I would call Carmax where he works everyday, and complain about him, until they fired him, just to shut you up. Then I would find him at his next job and start all over again.

Hey victor, sorry it took me to long to post been busy. If anyone is interested I too have some experience w/ gabriel. I overboosted and blew a seal on my 87tii in jan of 02. Having spent all of my money on mods to explode the thing i got a job and saved up some cash and purchased a motor from a guy here on the forum. it was a streetported fresh rebuild that i payed $1k for and had my grandfather pick up for me from marlyand (i think thats where, cant remember). I pulled my old motor and installed the new shortblock all myself but being a novice mechanic i was looking for someone to help me out w/ electrical and vaccum finishing touches. gabriel was new in town, and i had been refered by a friend here on the forum that he was the man for the job. I went out to the htown club meet and met him, seemed like a great guy to me,and very knowledgable. I had him come to my house and work the finishing touches and fire it up. We got it all together around 2am and got her started. black smoke everywhere!!! i payed hin $3-400 i think and since it still wasnt working he came over the next day and helped me out all day for no extra charge. still couldnt get the smoke gone, and after messing w/ it for a few days i determined that my problem was that the oil control rings were just shot, or mis installed or something. having spent near $3k at this point i had to stop for now and start saving. I went to school car-less and after several months of no transportation i couldnt take it. so naturalli i called my friend gabriel to take the car to his shop, disassemble the motor and figure out what the problem was and fix it (at this point im thinking less than $1500) he calls me a few weeks later and tells me the whole motor was crap and i got ripped bigtime, none of it was even salvagable. I trusted gabriel a great deal and so i went straight to the guy i got my motor from and got onto him and demanded him to fix the situation. he pretty much said screw you and after talking to several others on the forum i found that this guy was pretty untrustworthy. A few months later I had the car towed back to my garage in pieces, and it still isnt running to this day. so until this story I was completley convinced that my seller was to blame for all of the problems. now i am very disturbed that I could have had a perfectly good motor that he stole from me claiming that it was junk (he told me he tossed it out, i have nothing). To this day i know not of what i had, and im sure i never will. Gabriel Gonzales was always a friend to me, but looking back on everything i am very doubtful of everything. sorry this for the length and choppiness, i dont have much time, but i just wanted to post my story. you guys think i got ripped or what??

Yes, I think you got ripped, man. Why? Because even core (junk) motor parts are worth something. ol GG should have given those to you. so at the bare minimum, he stole a core motor from you, which is worth $1000 at Mazda as a trade in on a new reman.
I am starting to see a trend here, boys and girls......

Drew- Thanks for posting up your experience, man. When I went over to your crib way back when it seemed to me that you were pretty suspicious of Gabe yourself but I didn't want to say anything. Oh and I remember you telling me that he took some good housings outta your garage. Did you ever get those back?
As crappy as him stealing your core is, atleast you got your car outta there in one piece before he could do something worse. My car is pretty much totaled.

yeah, im glad i got my car out when i did, and im certainly glad i droped it off w/ the car cover. I had my housings up for sale on the forum to try and pick up some extra cash, and so i had gabe take a look at them to make sure they were usable. he told me they were warped so i just forgot about them. well come to find out, WARPED MY A**!!! Same with that core. and to be honest with you, i pretty much forgot about the core for the time being because i had all intentions of taking my car back to him to buyld me a new motor when the time came. and yes, i do realize that i am a complete idiot. The reason for me being so gulible is the fact that gabriel seemed to be such a genuinely nice guy. he even helped me and kevin out with his old fb for no charge. So it will always be nothing more than a suspiscion because i really cant prove anything. moral to my story is dont trust ANYONE, im sure it may tend to make you some enemies along the way, but trust me that you dont want to find out the hard way. Another thing that troubles me is that i was up here in arlington when the car was delivered back to me and since then i never really inspected to see if all my parts were still there in the car. During the rebuild i picked up a small fortune worth of oem parts and bolt ons. all i have to say is that they better be there when i make it back down to htown. Good luck getting the fd running vic, and again, sorry it took me so long to post SCHOOL SUCKS PEACE

He told me two of my housings (spares I wanted ported) were warped... but couldnt produce them.. said he threw them out.... of course I told him beforehand that if they were bad I wanted them back. (I was going to make a clock outta them)
