I totally ADD'd at some point this weekend because I know I already have all this typed out and opened on either my PC or my laptop..... Just kinda forgot to hit the post button.
WHO: Rotary pilots
WHAT: A contest to prove who's rotary is still running by driving it out
WHERE: 635 & MacArthur BLVD in the parking lot behind Cheddar's/McD's
WHEN: Saturday, September 1st, 2012 @ 8:00PM
WHY: Think of it as a Sevenstock Pre-Party!

Rotary pilots, awesome.
I'll have to bust out my flight suit from when I was in the Air Force.

Woot! Get to show of my new (used) Tokico struts, RB springs and Corksport oil lines. No more pitching and rolling, and no more oil leaks! Sadly, the sport springs didn't lower the car any, thanks to the fact that the 217K mile originals were sagging badly, but it's a lot more sure-footed. Definitely stiffer.
Now, if I could get some bodywork done...

You trying to say '7s look good, but...
Oh, I'm sure there's still leaks - it's just not leaving puddles any more. The original oil hoses were literally dripping badly enough to actually puddle up, and now the undercarriage on the driver's side is so coated with oil, it's practically rust-proof forever.
Also replaced a ruptured rack-and-pinion bellows boot while I was under there. Rear camber links are next ($80 each for those stupid little bastards!)
I think I may just spray the thing flat white to get it all one color. Flat black looks awesome, but it's hot, and it's been done. I'm tired of the Winning Silver, which isn't really silver. More of a champagne, or light gold. And not much goes with the burgandy-tastic interior. Silver, black, white, and shades of grey are pretty much it. Maybe a nice gunmetal grey?

Blargh - something I had agreed to do ended up being much later in the evening than anticipated. I swung by at about 11, just in case, but everyone was gone.
Spent some time today putting in new camber links (the little short ones on the inner end of each rear control arm) and removing the #$%! passive seatbelts on my '90 in favor of a normal set purchased from eBay some time ago. Still need to get some of the interior panels to match the regular belts from my '86 parts car and dye them, but the belts are in and working. Last time I'll hit my head on that stupid shoulder-belt latch while working inside the car! Need to get an S4 center console with the bigger storage bin now.

I've seen the meet at the Park and Ride off I-20. No way would I take my 7 anywhere near those kids... . No offense to you though as I don't know you, but those folks seem like a bunch of puerile wannabe racers.
That said, if you want to meet up with other 7 owners, meet us here on 1st Saturday

Arlington meet comes and goes. Same with the Western Center one in Keller/Wataga/NRH area. Cops always come eventually because people want to "race"
Hella quik, you should check out the meet in south lake on sunday nights. its good, everyone's chill and the guys that run it are on good terms with the cops.
