There is a 79-80 model sitting in a junk yard close to 380/Lucas area. I see it every time I pass it going to my lake house. It's a complete car, too. I've also been tempted to ask about it.

Off Dutch or off Wedgemont? or is it further south than that?

If you are going south on Old Granbury, it's about half a mile past Hulen on the right. You can see it thru the fence, next to a motorhome. It's sporting those nasty egg-crate wheels and all!

Yep I can see it on Google earth. I guess I'm buying the rx from Seattle this week. There is one on craigslist I emailed the guy and he just said its for sale still but no pics, phone nothing and hasn't responded to any of my emails since yesterday. I hate to pay the shipping.

Oh well.

Do a drive-by and see if you can hustle a name out of the manager. I saw the car and had images of a green Savanah clone dancing in my head...

Duff, you making another Pony Express run to 7Stock again this year?
That's the plan, I'll be riding with some other people so no 7 or miata this time. I'll have to get you number again, lost all my contacts, and meet up for lunch when we get there. How are the 7s?

If it's gold then it's a leather sport and rather rare, pick it up and restore it if ya can.

Eggcrate as in gold waffle wheels or as in grey/black steep wheels. If they're gd waffles they're rare and that means the car is prolly in unmolested condition, my interest have been piqued. Now where is this thing again?

Duff, don't get any ideas about that gold one, you have enough projects.

And yes August 4 will be the next meet. Hope there is a better turn out next time.
I want to see that beautiful South Lake turbo beast out there.

I had one of the 79 LS models, this one is identical. They are the waffle wheels, but the paint has been either stripped or just flat-*** oxidized off

Why don't yall plan to have a meet on July 26 at the Sushi place. There's another thread about it. I know it's not the regular meet but it might be cool to see the old RX-7 guys and some of the newer ones.
