I'll see what I can do. My parents have my daughter this weekend, so I might just do things with my wife you don't do when the kids are around. Like have a nice dinner, or a non-child's movie...
Late 79 build so an 80 car. Dad bought it for me in 86 from the original owner as my 16th birthday present. Drove the car through college where I put an 88 13b that I rebuilt in it with RacingBeat exhaust, springs and sway bars with a side draft carb on it...ran autocross in college and then I don't remember but think I needed brakes and other parts so I drove my dads 86 Fiero GT till I graduated and retired her to the shed at the farm. We covered her and she was out of the elements.
Interior is in good shape but I need a new dash and a few other pieces. I really want to restore her back to stock just like when I got her so I'm going to strip her down and have her repainted. Looking for a 79 or 80 car to be a donor for me as long as its stock. Also need to track down the hard to find pieces...dash, radio console with radio and shifter console. Also need an ash tray as the sliding part on mine is broken. Should be fun I have alot of other projects going at the same time but this one has the sentimental meaning to me.
Its funning seeing rotary performance mentioned as I was going there back in 87' to get the car worked on...little shop back then.

Well sounds fun.
There are about 3 other '79 in the area, mine (one in pic), Duffs, and Frankenrex also has one.
Not many parts in this area. I've been snatching up all the switches and stuff for '79 when they come up in the for sale section. You might want to look there too.
Where in Dallas are you located? just curious.

Up in Frisco. I'm hopeful that everything switch wise still works. I'm at the debate stage about buying a parts car because I would really be getting one thats in good shape to use the dash and a few other pieces that I want but are harder to get. Dollar wise they weigh out about the same but I just am having this heartburn over taking a driving 79 and stripping out what I need...oh well it still cost less than a winch for one of the hummers..
