Check this out: Texas Mile

I heard about this from a friend. Check it out, we should get a group together, and go down there.

Hmm....

Going fast in a straight line for 1 mile and less than a minute

Going fast in a straight line, also making turns, covering about 30-60 miles for 20-40 minutes without a break

Anyone excited by the Texas Mile, needs to check out www.nasatxracing.com - both organizations are owned by Jay and Shannon Matus. You can run HPDE or Time Trials and don't need a full fledge road race car. You'll also go plenty fast, I hit 150+ on the main straight.

Next event, April 19-20 Texas World Speedway.

It cost $195 for the Texas mile registration fee. That is about 3 hours drive from Houston. That is 320 round trip mile. At lease $85 in gas. I would probably need to stay overnight before returning the next day.

Adds up a lot for a piece of papaer.
