Car Wreck....

On friday night as I was innocently waiting in line at jack in the box (had to have some tacos), The big suburban in front of me decided to reverse very quickly.
Needless to say he ran right into me and rolled up on top of my FC.

Now I need another TII hood, Front bumper, FTP lenses, turn signals, entire headlight assembly, passenger fender, and a sunroof.

I'm going to go get some quotes on monday and talk the insurance company. I am going to try and get the stuff fixed and painted for a lot less than the quote so that I can go ahead and get all my other bodywork done and get a paintjob on the whole car.
I live in Beaumont and would be willing to drive to houston to pick up some parts such as the hood. There aren't any rx7's in any of the junkyards around here.

If any of you have or know where I can buy these parts I would be very thankful for that information.

my number is 409-549-3647 or send me a pm.

Hmm..that's a pretty good drive.
How much would shipping be on a hood?

I'm only considering that since it isnt really far away.

I tried to buy parts from this car. Ari wanted $300 for the front bumper which included dents from the license plate and $150 for the rear bumper which came with some exhaust burns, both could have used paint. If you bought front and rear he'd knock $50 off! I offered $300 for both which was double what they were worth and still no deal. I can only imagine what a bargain price the hood would be.

Well besides that car.
Does anyone else know where to get a hood?

I will probably buy new clear lenses from mazdatrix and maybe a few of the other small parts depending on the price.

As far as the front bumper I want to get a GP sports front bumper. Is shine auto making them? if not where can i get a good one for cheap?

Haha, nah.

My sunroof is ate up from rust on the edges. I don't think it's even fixable.

But i'm going to get all of the bodywork done and the whole car painted. So i figured i might as well buy a new sunroof.

I've got a steel NA hood with no dents if the T2 hood doesn't work out for ya.

T2 hoods on NA's are borderline rice anyway.

Will trade for beer.

I'd love to buy you beer.....if I was 21. I'm only 18 unfortunately.

Last time I tried to tell them that my liscense was wrong. I was actually born 3 years earlier and my parents just forgot to register me. It didn't work.

It could be considered borderline rice because of the fact that NA's don't really need a scoop. but if that was so then T2 hoods on T2's that have FMIC could almost be considered borderline rice for the same reason.

Personally I think it just gives it a little bit of a better look. I'm going all stock besides that though.

Actually we can close this thread because my insurance agency doesnt work the way i thought it did. The body shop is going to find all the parts. There goes the GP bumper too.

Thanks for your help though guys and to those that sent the PM's.

The body shop does find all the parts. HOWEVER, this is Texas and you have the right to take it anywhere you want.

SO - take it to the body of your choice and tell them what you want done. Chances are the aftermarket parts cost less than OEM. If you make nice with the body shop guy he can bump up his estimate to cover the cost of what you want done within reason.
