Got everything ready to pull the engine later today. The list of parts keeps getting longer and longer, it will probably be spring before she's back on the road. Once the engine is out then I can really clean that engine bay, can you say OCD lol.

Thanks Marshall, pulled the engine out yesterday, plan to ship it by the end of the week I hope.Ummmmmmm, I'm really into the spinning triangules inside the peanut thing lol.

 

V8's are for the weak.

 

Or for people who enjoy lame things like "torque."

 

Got this far, plan to have to the shortblock by tomorrow evening.

 

Got to thank by fellow rotorheads Edgar & Allan for the help removing the engine and Eric for the use of the engine stand adapter. BTW hear Eric's FC last night, it sounds nasty in a good way.

 

Down to the shortblock, front rotor and housing are toast.

Yeah I haven't had a need to use the adapter yet so Eric asked me if he could lend it to you. With as much help/tools we've traded with one another it wouldn't have mattered whether he asked me or not. You need it and I have it, it's yours to use.

You should have the motor ported and put a single turbo in while your at it.

 

Hi Matt, I do plan to have it ported but I'm sticking with the twins. With what I do with it and what I invested in the twins set-up I think it's my best and less expensive option. Us old guys just to cruise around and I couldn't handle all the power lol. BTW, know anyone that can sell me a rotor and a front housing? I could use them, thanks.

Good luck on the build, I have a horrible leaky pan. Is that the name "the black stuff sealant"

 

The maker is Permatex and the product is "The Right Stuff".
It is expensive, but it works compared to everything else.
You can get it in AutoZone, PepBoys, O'reilleys or even Amazon.
