Well, I just got back... I must say, the Texarkana folks have a fantastic event going on here. The track surface is like new asphalt and they made an extra effort to get a sweeper in to clean the course of debris. Instead of the first runs being wasted "clearing runs", they were actual runs.
We got six runs in about five hours, including a near hour-long break to eat lunch which was excellent BBQ they had catered. Heck of a lot better than wolfing down McDonald's in grid between heats.
Additionally, the entire event was entirely more laid back than any other region I've ever run with, including ER. Everyone seemed focused on genuinely having *fun* rather than nitpicking the rulebook and potificating about how things *should* be run.
Overall, I really cannot say enough positive things about these folks. I strongly encourage everyone to make the trip and give it a shot. It's a hell of a lot better than three short runs at Pennington or trying to finesse some grip out of the battered Mineral Wells location.

At any rate I'll have GEEZ plots later. Se you fellas next weekend at TMS!

I won't post the entire plot from the event, but here's an interesting little tidbit:

The car pulled 1.3 G's SUSTAINED which is nearly 10% higher than the numbers I obtained at Pennington.

Fellas, this course is traction heaven.

was that on the large circle intersection or the smaller one before the finish? I do hope to have mine up n running for the next event. I don't expect to great a numbers since it'll be my first run.

That was the large crossing circle near the beginning.

As long as you do better than the 240/Prelude guys, chief! That Prelude guy was having...issues...

lol well I don't know about all that. the prelude was capable of doing just over a minute runs. but I doubt I'll be blazing the times. I'll do a few slow runs to get used to the handling then try to go faster.

Hehe... With Jason Hopkins driving, maybe! Little Santos was having a little trouble getting the car into the proper gear.
