Anyone up for help on a motor and $$$ in Garland

I need to pull the front cover on a 13b NA race motor (engine compartment is pretty stripped), haven't done it before and really don't have extra time to figure things out. I did the S5 intake swap on my own so I do have some skills.

Here is why https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/square-peg-eccentric-shaft-wont-go-all-way-771349/

The car is at my air conditioned shop in Garland, will pay $20/hr for competent help. I have all the tools. Would like to get started tomorrow evening or early Saturday. PM me if you know what your doing and can help.

Thanks, I know you are more than qualified. I might take you up on that if I can't find anyone sooner. I have a race Aug 2-3 so wanted to spend the weekend of the 26th loading everything up rather than wrenching. If I needed some parts that wouldn't give much time. I guess I could always order a bunch of crap just in case and replace the bearings, etc. anyways.

Edit: I might also add that the whole start to this problem was about a 12 PSI drop in oil pressure. When I first pulled the e-bolt to check on the pellet assembly the assembly was stuck in there, I had to use oil pressure from the Accusump just to get the assembly out. Somethings got to be screwed up.

Have you run the motor or tighten the main nut down ??

The worst case if you haven't started the motor would be a bent thrust bearing.

If you started it like this, you could have messed up the Stat-gear.

You are going to need 1 new thrust bearing but while you are in there change both of them. Nothing else should be wrong

I have not cranked the motor since initially pulling the bolt. I did pull the front cover tonight, fairly easy. Took only about an hour, but I was afraid to go any further. I got someone coming supposedly Sunday who was a 30yr Mazda master mechanic to help me get things straight and back together. If that falls through I might take you up on next Saturday RX7_Nut

Use a 2x4 to press down the Clutch pedal, this will press the motor forward and help keep the bearing from falling when you are putting the front cover back on. Dont remove the board untill the front bolt is tightened.

The Tip of the day

I don't know how interchangeable 12a parts are, but if you need some parts quick I have an entire 12a race motor torn down and ready to be reassembled. I'll be around all weekend.

Thanks all for the offers to help and parts offer from Paul. I got it all fixed, no leaks, runs like a champ and re-tuned it on the dyno today so I know all is well! My oil pressure is back where it needs to be. I think the problem original started from the oil thermo bypass pellet assembly getting stuck, for some reason the builder had shimmed it with lock washers. I ended up not using any shims after lots of research.
