After looking at the video of the Dallas track, maybe we should build a under tray, AKA Rock guard for the entire bottom of the car, like the Rally cars do?

Yeah I was just there this past weekend, as long as you stay on track you should be fine. Unfortunately had issues with my car and didn't get to spend much time on the track. It's a lot more fun than I remember though, so yall will have a blast.

Staying on the track. Check..... But I took the car off track at about 100mph in a turn at No Problem Raceway, so that could be a problem.

P.S. The rear tires where crap!!

Haha, yeah you definitely don't want to go off at 100 here lol. No matter what, do not go off at turn 11. There is a guardrail/wall probably not even 25ft off the track. A lot of the turns are off camber. definitely be careful if you have bad rears, the track is quite bumpy in a lot of places, usually in the middle of turns where you don't want the rear sliding out

You guys should put together a wish list of extra parts you'd like so i can see if I've got anything around to nab and take along.

You dallas guys know the track layout better than we do so we are going to depend on your reconnoisance in finding us a pimp place to set up camp. We are depending on you since we have never been to the track before. Also - if we end up in a crappy place, it gives us the option to blame you!

Close-ish to the track so we can see
Close-ish to the refueling area because we spend a lot of time doing that
Close-ish the penalty box because we end there up anyway
Close-ish to the showers and bathrooms

Oh yeah - a place where there aren't too many generators making noise or lights around when it gets dark. We need a place to set up the projector for Guitar Hero! Anyone have a big *** stereo they can bring?

Optional stuff:
two way radios for the car
video camera mount
A few racks of Baby Back Ribs to strap to the Carbecue.

You will definitely want to try and get there early or when they open to get a spot, cause there is very little paddock room. Referring to the picture you'll see the best place to set up. Not 100% sure if they'll let you paddock there for this event but it's open at all the ones I've done, and considering the lack of space at the marked parking area, I'm sure it will be open. Anywho set up in the circled area, that will get you close to everything. The only indoor bathrooms, and shower are in the main building so you'll be close to that as well. It will also get you next to the fuel station, places to see the track (not many of them). It's also a much smaller area than the general parking down below so you won't have as much noise due to less people being able to set up there. hope that helps!
