WINNER! Judges Choice Trophy - 24 Hours of LeMons - Yeehaw its Lemons Texas 2009.

Yes we are kind of sad we didn't win the Dangerous Homemade Technology Trophy. However, we aren't all butt-hurt about it. We were recognized for our crazy car and hey - at least it made a lasting impression on the Judges.

The winned of the Dangerous Homemade Technology tropy was a Mustang with a leaf blower supercharger... the same idea we DIDN'T do because its already been done in a LeMons race! I think they didn't give us the award because perhaps we are getting a little TOO crazy and they just don't want us to hurt ourselves or need the liability for our dumb asses. (Maybe asking Jay if we can run an auxiliary home-made jet turbine engine next time was a bad move?)

The car pulled HARD even with all that **** on the roof and in the back. I can honestly say it was one of the fastest if not THE fastest car on the track. It pulled SO hard it pulled the teeth off 3rd gear on the second day! It was fun while it lasted. We made every RX-7, Mustang and BMW our bitch at some point!

We spent a lot of time off the track because of oil leaks. The judges said we should be Team Exxon Valdez next time. I mean seriously - I think oil was even coming out of the tail lights!

MSR really sucks because they black flag you for EVERYTHING. I got black flagged for buzzing the safety truck and honking that big *** air horn. Actually Chuck got pulled in for my penalty. I had to own up for that one because I broke an air line in the process. YES, I'd do it again. I was actually looking for the same track official so I could do it again!

Also, I was barely run off the track (maybe 1 tire off) at 100 MPH by a ******** Taurus SHO and didn't even wipe out. He didn't like getting passed so he got dirty and cut me off. Immediate black flag for me and nothing for the peckerhead SHO. We spent 45 minutes putting a jigsaw puzzle together that I think a kidnergartener actually cut out with a jigsaw or maybe even a sawzall. Hella sucked.

Anyhoo, all whining aside - Can't wait for February!

I was REALLY surprized at how much differance all that cold air made
Then on the second day after the generator had given out and Scott did his thing with 3rd gear and I was STILL smoking cars in more ways than one.... I realized that maybe the motor "had been worked on"

But seriously, its pretty messed up that the car that sounded the worst, and smoked the MOST was probably the quickest.
And hey, notice that I didn't bitch about the weight even once this time, I think we could have put a miata in our hatch and still cruised by every miata on the track.
I'm looking forward to the next No Problem Raceway event the most.
And I do like john's wireless tuning system that would allow home base to monitor the coolant temp, AFR's ect. and tune it on the fly (that would be better than tuning it ahead of time right? Plus we could laugh at out teammates at they miss gears (or lose them).
I also think that chuck's motor might have even more n/a potential....
And I also think scott's a/c bullshit deserved banned technology recognition.
I really think that they just didn't want to give us 2 awards and there was really no good competition this time.

Anyone want to donate T2 drive train parts?
Or a 5 lug swap?
or T2/vert brakes?

I sent an email to the company that sold me the generator about how it crapped out. They told me they are sending me a new one and to keep the old one for parts.

Now what to do with the AC next time?

We ran as high as 2nd on day one, and not many cars could go as quickly as this one could. Bummer about the damage.
Before.

After.

Probably won't need the AC for the Feb race... bring it back for the May race though for sure. Maybe you guys can mount some other crazy contraption up there for the Feb race. I think a fog machine would be sweet if they'd allow it and it would work at speed, but I think it wouldn't do much at high speeds.

nice, now you can use the engine off the dead generator to run the supercharger.

next time you can use the A/C to blow the judges.

Yeah, that dillo was tough. We talked to them Sunday morning. Turns out, the shot to their rear engine caused the transmission housing to crack 2/3rds around. I didn't think it was that bad, but my neck was sore Sunday night on the road.

Sucks that the car got smashed up. It sure was nice to meet you all though and hopefully we'll see you at the next race!

You guys with the AC had my wife's favorite car out there.....very creative and holy crap, the work you did to that car. I loved the light switches inside.

^^^ AC is my fault.

Anti-tailgater Suppression System built by TwistedRotors (also creator of the TR-01 Rotary Compression Tester. Very Pimp. Check it out.)

Dynamic Air Brake, miles of wiring, lots of air line / relays / sprinkler valve pneumatics, engine design, plumbing pipe header, true dual exhaust, etc, etc, AND ETC by RX7_Nut13B.

I guess I can put the blame for the light switches on philiptompkins - even though he's gay.
