So far my cannonball experiences haven't been that great.
James knows.
I've only done one cannonball, and first I got lost, then we ALL got lost, then I blew a headgasket.
That's a 300% fail rate.

first off, no one has ever been arrested or even got a ticket during a cannonball run.
the last couple cannonballs I printed maps for everyone, dont know how you got lost, sorry about that.
its basicly a big lap of the metroplex, followed by a little party

I don't know if you were the one that set it up last time, I just know it wasn't an rx7 only thing. There was a R33 Skyline there. And the fail thing was directed at myself, don't take offense or anything. I got lost taking a right instead of a left out of the parking lot - then we all got lost going the wrong way on 114.
Even if you were the organizer, none of it had anything to do with poor planning, it was all on me... well, me and the guy that said "Oh yeah, THIS way on 114!"

LOL, I remember that, you guys kept calling SlammedBlk7 asking where we were and so we stopped and waited at gas station down 114 and waited a little bit for you guys to turn around and catch up but you guys never turned around or something and ended up on 187 or something.
First thing we stopped at the gas-station because 600hp kept blowing off his intercooler hose, I think - so we turned right on the access road out of the gas station, thinking there was another overpass to make a U-turn. :P Surprise! Not until after you cross 35E.
Then we were following the guy who had the map, who knew we needed to turn on 114. He chose poorly.
Shortly thereafter, my overtemp light went on and found out I was dumping coolant into cylinder number 3. :P So that ended the night for me. :P

Oh we were making the trip a little more scenic since most of us that live in grand prairie turn around and go home once we're half way down 20. I'm not to fond of the toll booth going the intended path of the cannonball. It caused everyone to be way spread out.
The object of a cruise or cannonball shouldn't be to lose everyone on the highway...
...what about the solo folks...are we asking for one handed driving trying to read a map at 120 mph?

Toll booths are against my religion.
And if it's my wife's little red v6 Mustang Convertible that you're thinking was a Corvette, I'll tell her - she'll be thrilled.

It was definitely a fun time, though - replacing the head gasket on a v6 Mustang however, was not. :P
Oh Kyle, not that it matters much, but your master cylinder's in the same place mine is - I don't know why that didn't look right to me. :P
